Late 2000, because I thought being a Sith would be cool... and it was :cool

Pretty darn sure it was 2000

Oh, and I was linked to the place in a talkcity chat room XD

June 2000. Me and Peter were doing tabletop Star Wars roleplaying at the time and I was looking up information about the Sith and happened upon Itala Marzullo's Sith Council! :uhoh

Well I was introduced to SW-Fans in 2008 after QGJ from CC.net pointed out that I would meet a lot of familliar faces here again.

Initially in '04, after the Star Trek group I'd been RPing with for a few years shut down... I think. :uhoh

Then I was away for a bit, and came back in '07.

I tried to stay away, but you guys are too damn awesome. ;)

I wandered into things during the summer of '01, back when the Greater Jedi Order was still plying the ezboard waves. Lurked for about two weeks, then started talking to folks over aim. I didn't really start RPing until probably a month or two after I'd found it since all of you nitwits scared me. Especially Morg.

It's comfortable here, and everybody has such an easygoing attitude. Plus the well of creativity we have is simply amazing.

April 1999!

(ie, LAST MILLENNIUM)

Came originally to Jawafortress, then found what was at the time just "swfans.net" which was primarily a place to buzz about the upcoming Phantom Menace and troll people about box office stuff and hope TPM beat Titanic in box office totals. Roleplaying, I want to say, started happening later that summer as I was getting ready to go to college.

Shit I'm old :(

Started lurking TSE Late 2000 around November December. Joined TSE finally around April 2001 I believe. Morino Ryu and Sumor Royal kind of lead me there from another board. Since at the time TSE was part of SWfans that's how I found this place.

Mitch introduced me to the board in the summer of 2002. We had already been writing together for a couple years, and he and his friend Christin had established themselves pretty well here. I lurked for a while, waffling on whether or not I'd actually join, since all I knew about Star Wars was the original three movies, and I was a complete novice at the New Republic setting we had going on back then. But finally in October 2002 I decided to take the plunge by adapting a character from a silver fox in a Redwall RP into a Force-sensitive pickpocket on Coruscant.

Still took me several years to really hit my stride and start collaborating with people. I wish I'd started talking to people on IM earlier, because I had a very limited group I'd play with at first. It also seems to me that the factions are better defined now, but maybe that's just because I'm active in more of them.

I started in Summer 2000 with TSO, didn't really start at the old swvstitanic ezboard (attached to the swfans.net site run by ... someone) until that fall when I was back at college. And it was because my brother RPed here (Banestone) and I followed him and was convinced by his friends (including Itala) to join.

I'm glad I did - my writing has really improved and flourished over the TEN YEARS I've been here. Holy goobers its been a long time!

For some reason I really thought that I had come in really close to day 1, because of Dani's chat room, but I guess not. Looking back at the creation dates on my original sig files, looks like my OOC JediJabroni account pic and my first Drin sig were made in September, 2000. Garm Bel Iblis and Chase Merik were 2001.

Why'd I come here? I love writing and I love Star Wars. I was running the Star Wars d20 RPG at the time where Lianna Mal Pannis and Drin were created.

My first 'roleplaying' experience, or even writing experience for that matter, was on the Star Wars Galaxies forums. If I remember right just before the game launched Sony closed off public access to their forums.

That is when I stumbled across this place in (I had to look it up) 10-22-03.

Jeez. Been a while.

Summer of 2000 for me. As for why... Uhh... It looked like fun? And I got to write for a little blue haired Sithie!

Of course then I went away and came back uhhh December of 2008. I'm gonna go with the "It looked like fun" reason for that too. :lol

Not sure exactly when, I think it was sometime early in 2000, but it might have been late in 1999. Going with 2000.

and as for why? I don't really remember. I remember how I got to the boards, but not sure I remember why I stayed. Probably just because I enjoyed it.

Oh and like Em, returned in Dec 2008 after a couple years away.

April, 1999. I lurked for about a month, just reading threads about the then upcoming release of TPM. Started posting about a month later, then got into RP and other things.

Hard believe that was more than 11 years ago already. I was just short of my 21st birthday when I started posting here. I'm 32 now. I occasionally think about now much things have changed in the that time, both here and in my own life.

As Droo mentioned...

When: June 2000
Why: Because somebody needed to bring the nosh! :)

Carré Inirial

When: 2009

Why: At first, I blame Kass' pet, Reg - one thread featuring an exploding head got me to post once as Kass back in February of that year. Then I blame Sarah and Jenny and Chris and Holly and Charley and Christin and Liz and Dani and Josh...and everyone I met at Dragon*Con for convincing me to actually show up and mean it. So I did :) and I've not regretted a moment of it.

Plus, its a total bonus to know how much it irritates people from The Place That Shall Not Be Named :eee

May 1999 - sometime late in the month, as TPM had been released in the US but not yet down under (it was released here early June).

I found Star Wars vs. Titanic (as it was called then) via a banner link from another SW fan site - back then it was, as Charley mentioned, a sub-section of Jawa Fortress. :)

I was a lurker, reading post from Miranda and Khendon for about a month in 2005. After a while I realize I didn't like just watching, so I jumped in and have been posting ever since. So, it's been fun. For a while there I vanished, but I came back.

Don't know how I actually stumbled onto the place. Maybe it was google. Either way, I'm sure I googled "Star Wars" and ended up here somehow. I guess I had good luck that day.

Lurked back in 2000 but never actually joined. Quit RPing for a while and then made a failed attempt at a comback in 08 and stuck around ever since.

Why, you say? Well mainly it looked like a place where my writing wouldn't be restricted by rule and regulations, but everything I've written lately is shit and not of enough quality to post :(

Serena

You should post anyway, quality is in the eye of the beholder and you're probably being too hard on yourself. :)

Fun times on those boards, after they were closed down Ace McCloud invited me to join Fans in late '03. I've been here ever since, sorta.

According to my join date it was the end of 2001, but I believe I lurked for a really long time. Dara brought me over from TalkCity to TSE and then TSE to here...ezboards of course. I joined to get in on some epic threads xD

I also remember ninjaring this name from Marcus...can't remember what mine was before, but it had Callista in it.

I know it was in 1999, shortly after Ep1's release.

I seem to recall some TalkCity chat rooms, and then Coruscant City, then hearing about a tiny board called SWFans, and this guy named LoungeLizard... :p

AmazonBabe was born first (1999), shortly followed by Lady Vader (2000). And then the whole Sith thing with Itala, and the mutiny, and then TSO.

Gawd, it was a loooooooooooong time ago. >_<

My brother (Ogre) had a job down here in the city at the time, so we hung out often... I believe it was after the fabled 'Ogre smash' he pulled in a thread that I became interested and thought I'd give it a whirl, even though I had zero experience when it came to creative writing/role-play..
