She had grudgingly agreed to accompany Karl Valten. He'd been rather convincing at any rate, and in the end she'd given in. What any of this had to do with anything important she had no idea, and that little fact irked her to no end. She suspected that Valten knew that, and enjoyed the aggravation his behavior was causing.

Standing on the bridge of a Star Destroyer was not alien, but it wasn't a common thing either. She preferred Coruscant; the Citadel; her office. She preferred to delve into the thoughts and minds of people, not the emptiness of space. In some ways this excursion was an exercise in patience.

R. S. Esalis had infinite patience, and she would weather this like anything else she had endured. What had been most frustrating however, had been Valten's insistence that she bring with her all data and whatever materials she possessed of Loklorien s'Ilancy and the Lupines.

Intense, icy aqua eyes bored into the nothingness on the other side of the transaristeel viewing window, and without looking at the man standing beside her, Esalis spoke quietly.

"At the risk of being repetitive, are you going to tell me where we're going?"
