Relm Jo'Karr

Relm stared out at the dust bowl that Zonju V and her home. Place was so far out on the edge of the Galaxy not many people left and barely anyone ever came. It held ruins of sandstone from some long lost civilization that no one remembered. Yet to Relm this was home, the only place she ever knew growing up.

She looked back over her shoulder back at her swoop bike and a few men she had brought with her just in case. She had inherited her father's legacy as leader of small band of swoop raiders. Most of the band didn't like the thought of a woman leading them but she had earned her place by holding her own.

Today would be a new day in the band's legacy as Relm was about to make a deal that would change everything. It would change the face Zonju V forever, some wouldn't like the change but Razor had insisted was needed change. Her sights drifted from her back up back out to the dust bowl where just at the end of her vision she could see two figures approaching on swoops.

The two cloaked figures zipped in out of ruined pillars as fast as they could push their swoops. One figure wore white mask and the other was wearing a black mask. They hastily approached there rendezvous point neither figure yelled a word to the other the only sound was the hum of their swoops. The dust kicking up behind them as there thrusters were pushed full bore.

As they came closer to a woman standing out in the open the figures simultaneously slowed their pace. At about twenty paces from Relm their bikes both came to a full stop at what seemed like the same exact time. Both figures got off their bikes in exactly the same manner.

The figures were covered from head to toe not an inch of skin showing. Both there cloaks where black the only real distinguishing differences where height and mask's they wore. The one with a white mask only stood five and half feet tall. The one in the black mask stood slightly over six foot. The eyes of both individuals could be seen and they glowed a strange orange color.

They seemed too walked at the same pace as they approached Relm. Both there eye's where focused on the young woman they where her to meet. They stopped a few feet from Relm and seem not concerned at all with the men she brought with them. The one with a white mask then turned it's sight's to the one with a black mask. Sokar nodded to their companion before turning back to the woman. A mechanical voice then sprang to life addressing Relm.

"A female? Are you Jo'Karr or as he decided not to listen to our proposal?"

"I am Relm."

She took a few steps back from the individual's that she was speaking too. Razer had neglected to mention these two individuals where so imposing when he set up the meet.

"Leader of the Jo'Karr gang, and yes I am female as you put it."

She turned her head to the side and spit on the ground to show she took insult to that remark.

"If you have a problem with that you can take whatever you are pedaling elsewhere."

Relm wasn't use to this kind of decency, even her men that respected her never bowed. It was a whole new experience that Realm wasn't sure she liked. She didn't know why but seemed kind of slimy and shady. Then again who was she to speak up her gang was nitrous for just taking what they wanted.

"What exactly are you selling then?"

It had better be worth it or she was walking. Razor really hadn't told her much other then it was worth listening too. If it wasn't she might have to have Razor punished.

"If it's some religious crap, you might as well shove whatever good book you read up your ass. Cause I'm not buying into some almighty or mystical mind powers so many of you try to spit."

"I assure you we are not selling are religion. Yet I will caution you not to joke about things you do not understand."

Sokar turned to Lucid with a nod as he pointed at one of Relm's men. Lucid's gloved hand reached up and he began to squeeze his fingers together. One of Relm's men began to choke and as Lucid continued to squeeze the man eventually dropped to his knees. Sokar spoke to realm as her man tried to fight for breath.

"Now that you know what we bring to the table..." Sokar reached out and pulled down Lucid's hand make him release his force grip on the man. "Are you willing to listen to what we have to offer?"

"Impossible."

Her statement straight to the point of what she thought of the Idea. These gang's had been fighting turf war's hundreds maybe even thousands of years before she was born. Even if they managed to unite a few of them, what would it accomplish?

"Most of these gangs are too stupid to band together. On top of that what exactly would it accomplish?"

Evidently Sokar had under estimated this woman's intelligence in seeing the bigger picture. Then again maybe he hadn't maybe she saw it she just didn't know how to accomplish it.

"We are looking to build an empire. Banding as many gangs’ as we can together and eliminating those that choose to oppose us so we can pave this road."

Sokar left allot out it was best not to look to far ahead or thing's could fall apart before they ever started. This was just the beginning of what was planned and Zonju V was just a small piece to the bigger picture.

"The gang's that join us will be are standing army. They will be the ones that start the ground work for a better future for Zonju V. You will be the General of that army if so choose Relm."

That voice was starting to grate at her nerves as she stared at them fear still clear in her eyes. She was uncomfortable to say the least about this meeting. Yet she listened as the white masked one spoke of building an empire on Zonju V. She almost wanted to ask why they would want to build here on this dust bowl she called home.

"You want us to be your army, with me as your general? Why?"

She had to ask why, her and her gang where small fries compare to some of the other gang's around. She only had twenty men at her back and only about third of them where loyal to her without question. The rest only let her be ruler because they had respected and honored her father.

However she wasn't sure if she could say no to these two individuals. If she did she might be counted as one those that opposed them. Her eye's couldn't help but drift to Lucid the silent one of the two. She had no doubt this pair could destroy her and her gang. Then again General Jo'Karr had a nice sound to it she had to admit.

"Why not?" Lucid's mechanical voice whined to life for the first time.

"I ask why not cement your place in the history of this world maybe even the galaxy? Why not rise above small time raiders?"

He had been reading her surface thought the whole time as Darth Sokar had instructed him to do. He knew that she feared them and even more deep details then that on her thoughts. She wanted a way out but had none just as Sokar had planned.

Lucid himself had no real interest in the plan himself he was just brought a long as an enforcer. Since Sokar was blackmailing him he really didn't have much of a choice in the matter. He did have to wonder though why Sokar would choose a smaller gang over one of the bigger ones. Maybe Sokar thought that smaller one would go unnoticed until it was too late.

Lucid couldn't read this Sokar's thoughts something blocked him from it which left him with open curiosity. What exactly was this plan was really just to build an empire on some long forgotten dust bowl. No there had to be something bigger to it scheme's started small but they very seldom stayed that way.

"As for why you as a general because I would say the title fit's you."

She tried to hold back her own fears as the larger of the two figures spoke. She hadn't expected him to think of him more as the enforcer then the speaker. When spoke voice though mechanical like the other figures had dominance to it. A voice that told you right out he wasn't a man to be taken too lightly.

"We are small time compared to others? I mean we handle are selves well but around the bigger gangs we will be just pushed to the side?"

She found somewhat of a voice inside of her as she spoke to both the figures before her. Since they saw her as the general then perhaps she had some say. Then again there was still a deep seeded fear she would be destroyed for questioning. She pushed that fear to the back of her mind because she saw a flaw in their plan.

"We are not you; we can't wipe out another gang with just a thought. We will lose if we take on the bigger gangs and your plan will be lost to."

"You have bigger army then you realize."

Darth Sokar always the master of suspense thought the person behind the mask and facade. A person with a bigger plan then anyone had yet realized not even Lucid had the full layout of the bigger picture. Yet the bigger picture was a ways off it was best to start small and go unnoticed as much as possible.

"First I will lend you the services of my enforcer Darth Lucid."

Sokar knew without even having to hear a response from Lucid that he more than likely didn't care for that. Lucid wouldn't like having to be loyal and listen to the commands of a mortal with no force ability or anything to offer him in return. It was best to keep Lucid on chain for now or else he would forget who was really pulling the strings here.

"He will do anything you ask of him short of killing me. He will be your first new soldier and your task will simple. At first you are to gather up the smaller gangs ask them to join if they do not destroy them." There was no sympathy in Sokar's mechanical voice.

"If you fail and are wiped out so be it, I guess I just put my faith in the wrong group." Again no sympathy came from that cold mechanical voice.

"In two weeks time from now your tribe should be four times as big as it is now. In two weeks time you will also be receiving my armada to aid you. Nothing will stand in your way after that all you have to do is survive two weeks."

"Two weeks then?"

She wasn't sure about having this Lucid under her command but he, it or whatever it was could be useful. As for an armada that was a big boost to make and Jo'Karr assumed it was more like a couple of ships. Still it was more than anyone else had on this planet.

She wasn't really keen on the if failure happened part because Sokar made it very clear that her and her gang where disposable. Yet they were disposable either way, if they said no they would more than likely be disposed of anyway. At least in saying yes they might survive into tomorrow anyway but the days that would follow would be unknown. Her and her gang would have to learn to live day by day which was easier than one would think on this planet.

"Alright I lead though Lucid is under my command. Um he does what I tell him without question. He does understand the concept of mercy right?"

"There is no such thing as mercy."

That mechanical voice said with such a cool eerie calm that Jo'Karr visibly shuddered at the words. Soon this planet would be Sokar's and then he could build a true empire. One on the foundations he believed in, one that could be hidden away waiting for the right opportunity to reveal itself. Sokar wasn't sure when that time would come but it would.

"Lucid you are now under her command for the time being but do not forget who is your true master the one that commands you."

Under his mask Blade was growling at the thought of being under the command of person he despised. He didn't despise Jo'Karr she was just another pawn in a fouls game no his contempt was for Sokar who thought he had control over Blade. Blade would never swear loyalty to Sokar no matter what Sokar held over his head. Yet for now he would remain patient waiting for the right opportunity.

"Very well." Lucid bowed his head to Sokar then turned to Jo'Karr. "I am yours to command."

Lucid thought about Loyalty for a moment to many times he had sworn loyalty to those who failed him in the end. He was faking his loyalty to both Jo'Karr and Sokar but it reminded him of all the times he didn't fake it. He once swore loyalty to an Empire that turned its back on him because he refused to believe in blind faith. He had once sworn loyalty to woman that he failed. Then there was Aria yet another he swore loyalty to but he was divided on whether he had failed her or weather she had failed him.

"I will do as you dictate but know this if they beg to live I will not show mercy only the weak beg for the life. Those that beg for death do so because they know they die for what they believe in and there for are stronger."

There was fear in her eyes but it had been there pretty much since these two had arrived. They were clearly two people not to be messed with so to Lucid's words she just nodded. Even if she didn't agree with them she knew it was best to pretend rather than protest.

"Okay then we will get start first thing in the morning."

A good night’s rest would do her and her crew well especially since she just made a deal that might get them all killed. Not to mention the few people in her gang who would no doubt protest this agreement because they were against her. She didn't even want to think about what Lucid might do to them. She had a lot at stake in this plan but at least if she failed she wouldn't be alive to have to lament the failure.

"Bring your bike Lucid and I will lead you to are camp."

Sokar turned and head for his own bike speaking to both lucid and Jo'karr as he did so.

"One night no delays after that you must get a lot accomplished in two weeks. Do not fail me either of you, Lucid you know what will happen if you fail me."

The person behind the mask choked back lump in there throat after they spoke those words. The person behind the mask didn't want to have to speak those words but knew it must be done.

Sokar finally reached his bike and got on not saying anything else besides that. Sokar flipped on the engines and turned the bike around look back one last time at Jo'Karr and her gang as they got on their bikes. Then looked to Lucid who didn't even look back he just road up to the gang ready to do his service. The person behind the mask thought if only he knew what it was all for and that Aria was still alive.

A few minutes later the gang reached their small encampment with eyes watching them closely as they approached. It wasn't much of a camp it had ramshackle huts made out of whatever metals, rock, or wood that could be found to piece together shacks. There was a line of speeder bikes down one side of the encampment and on the other side a few kids played in the dirt.

The majority of the encampment where human with only a one or two exceptions to that rule. These where Realms people well some of them anyway, a few didn't want her as the leader. Those that didn't where stuck in the old ways and believed a woman couldn't lead them. To them women were meant to stay home, cook, and have children. They were not meant to fight or lead a gang. Realm dismounted her bike as she pulled up and parked in the line of bikes.

"Welcome to my home." She reached out her arms showing off the encampment to lucid.
