Going to San Diego

I will be leaving for San Diego Wednesday night. I will be pretty busy all day Wednesday trying to get last minute crap done at the warehouse, and from there probably straight to the airport with little room to rest in between.

Or maybe I will... who knows. But not enough time to post anything memorable.

I will have my laptop with me, so on the evenings that I am not either brain fried from comic-con or hobnobbing at a party (or both), I'll still be able to check in. Or maybe not.... who knows. :)

For those of you who don't know/have never heard of Wootstock, it is awesome. It's a series of concerts subtitled "3 hours of geeks and music" and is headlined by Adam Savage (Mythbusters), Wil Wheaton (if you don't know who this guy is you need to get a clue), and Paul and Storm (they do musical comedy!). Wootstock's Minneapolis offering included Savage singing I will survive. As Gollum. See link below for awesome.

I missed W00tstock when it was in Portland, thanks to my friends waiting until the last minute to decide they wanted to go, and then there not being any tickets. :(

I have heard good things about Wootstock and I know a few people who are going. But chances are high that tickets are sold out, and I have two parties to go to on Thursday night anyway. Business first. ;)

Home now. Had a good time. Got to meet and chat quite a bit with Jerry Lawler and Chris Daniels (another wrestler for the uninitiated who care enough to read this) at the booth. Met lots of people. Shook lots of hands. Got lots of business cards. Drank a bit at the Thursday night parties.

Convention reports aren't nearly as fun when you work on my side of the table, sorry. 95% of my time was spent in meetings. All I got to see at the con was my my time walking between those meetings. I did not bother to bring a camera because I don't have one and I didn't have the time to keep recharging my phone through the day.

Oh, well I did stab a guy in the eye with a pen (http://www.usatoday.com/life/2010-07-24-comic-con-stabbing_N.htm). That was fun. I was in line first dammit. That was for you Han!

Star Wars TCW game looks awesome, as does Assassins Creed Brotherhood.

After a nightmare flight delay there and having to take the red-eye back, I'm just glad to be home.
