Cord Avery
Jul 16th, 2010, 08:29:30 AM
Name: Cordelia Avery
Alias: Cord "Death" Avery
Species: Human (Echani (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Echani))
Age: 30
Height: 5'9
Weight: 130
Eye Color: Silver
Hair Color: Blond/white
Home Planet: Eshan (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Eshan)
Affiliation: Ex-Imperial Jumptrooper (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_Jumptrooper) washout, Ex-Imperial starfighter corp washout, Rebel hopeful
Known Relatives: None

BIO: Orphaned as a baby she has no real family to speak of. It is do to having no one to really guide her growing up she does not follow most of the traditions of the Echani. She has separated herself from there honor code and belief system to some degree.

Her lack of teaching and guidance lead her to attempt to join the Imperial Storm trooper program. However do to there high standards and the fact that she was a woman they never gave her a real chance. She signed up for the Jump trooper division. Despite being an excellent marksmen and being able out maneuver everyone in her class with jet pack do to her lighter frame the instructors purposely failed her and expelled her.

During her time as a Jump trooper trainee she under went surgery to have portions of her brain removed (Most of the emotional centers fear, pain, and few others.). This was to make her more effective in battle but she seems to lack emotion in terms of love, compassion, and allot of the social interaction emotions. She basically has a harden soldier attitude who has seen everything and is desensitized despite the fact she hasn't seen much battle in actuality.

After being washed out her mentality as a fighter and the fact that she was skilled at maneuvering with jet pack lead her to try out for the starfighter corp. She faced the same sexism in the fighter corp as she did in jump troopers despite getting good marks none of the higher ups seemed to want her to succeed. As a pilot she wasn't top but landed in the top average in terms of skill. Eventually the starfighter corp let her go leaving her to her own devices.

Her soldier way of thinking led her to realize that if the Imperials where not going to give her a chance maybe there enemy would. She isn't a loyalist supporting neither the rebel or the imperial cause she is a merc/solider who just wants to fight in what ever capacity a faction will allow her too.

Emotional state: She comes off cold never laughing at jokes and very anti social. Mostly she lacks the capacity to understand most social interaction. She is very much a point me in the direction and tell me who to kill type. She is however prone to anger and rage at times. To her there is no future it is a kill or be killed universe.

Eventually: I figure that her neural pathways will slowly repair themselves finding new routes to bring back her emotions (as the brain is known for such things). They will never be on par with the average person.

(I'm not where she might fit into the rebellion. I could see her being a pilot, intel (definitely not the best agent in terms of lack of personality) , or base line soldier. Definitely not a naval officer. Any suggestion?)

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Alliance_Special_Operations sounds like it might be a good fit for Cord.

Wow that fits great actually. Now onto how to get this character involved with the rest of the rebels? :)

Thanks.

We don't have a lot of SpecOps characters right now - as you can see from http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/showpost.php?p=341963&postcount=4 - but there is a degree of overlap between SpecOps/SpecForce/Intel so you could feasibly be recruited by a character from any one of those branches.

I have been looking for something to do with this char, actually. He's a SpaceOps Marine, with SpecForce.

Maybe we could do something together then. I could be a new recruit to the fifth.
