Avatar help!

Can some one take this picture (http://chud.com/articles/content_images/5/christina-ricci-picture-4.jpg) and cut out the backround? Make the backround black or something (it really doesn't matter not looking for anything special) then turn it into an avatar for me please?

I am currently using it with the people in the backround but I would rather they not be there.
