Looks like you're with Bloodfin, Karr.

And I'll get to it. *huff*

Admittedly that page probably needs some updating. Especially since Adder isn't really active. Which probably makes me CAG again.
...Sweet deal.

Tannis "Professor" V'larr, formerly Shadow 10. I'm operating independently at the moment but could join up with another unit if anybody shows any signs of life.

Also, I'm a far more terrifying flight instructor than Bette. Just ask Carré. :evil

Ok thanks :D I found that right after I asked. It was just between your callsign and the two squadron names I was very confused.

So I suppose I should properly sign in:

Lieutenant Commander Bette "Shooter" Davis, formerly Shadow Three, now assigned as flight instructor to Hellfire Squadron, based out of Kalidor.

p.s. starting a Kalidor RP soonest, will put up linky thing http://75.126.43.122/forum/showthread.php?p=341592#post341592

Yes we are Mal :p

But here is the thing, if we are still shadows, are we still on a ship with the other squads?

Tannis V'larr
Jul 14th, 2010, 09:32:25 AM
Wouldn't it be a hoot if we joined the Bloodfins and the Hellfires on the same ship? We'd average out to a pretty good wing! ;)

We were on the Termagant. Which at some point morphed from a VSD to an ISD-II. So I think we can swing just about anything in terms of reassignment. We could even say that Tannis had a hand in bringing the squadron back together, since he managed to keep his name unsullied while Bette was sent to nugget purgatory.

That would be a great storyline for our new thread. :)

Hmm..

Well, I'll let Jenny get a say in on that one since the Kalidor was sorta her brainchild that I kinda plotted with her with...

Basically we had it that the Kalidor is kinda the joke of the Imperial fleet. It's old, kinda crappy, and get sent on worthless missions and generally sees very little action. - :P Which is kinda why Hellfire got shipped there. They aren't exactly... good. rofl.

Bloodfin's a decent squadron... but really the only reason it hasn't been reassigned to a "better" ship was the fact that they are fiercly loyal to the CO of the Kalidor. Really the Kalidor and its CO are over due for retirement but they insist on staying active so they get stuck doing a lot dull survey stuff on the edge of space. Basically - they'd never really be the ship to directly engage the Rebels. The only reason they have squadrons is a formality... and to take care of the occasional pirate/smuggler/etc band.

I can't see why they'd bring in Shadow Squadron (aside from having poor Davis deal with her nuggets), simply because... again, they don't get a lot of action.

Now while it's a decent thing storyline wise to bring all the Imp pilots together on one ship... it kinda kills the original idea of the Kalidor, you see?

Though it doesn't give any reason why Shadow Squadron can't regroup and start doing missions again off another ship. It seems like a good number of you are around... and it might be nice to give some actual people for Rogue Squadron to play off against since they seem to be in Kill-NPC heaven right now. ;)

Also keep in mind that Tarrick has offered you guys a new "home" of sorts. No reason Shadow can't use this thread to regroup and transfer from the Termagant over to one of his ships, if you guys choose that....

(on...more thinking...) And if they were up for it, maybe take Hellfire with you? :D give you guys proper room to haze Bette and her nuggets?

I'd like to keep the Kalidor as is, to be honest. As Vikki said, we made it up to be the crappiest ship that lucked out on having a few decent pilots.

If you want to take Hellfire out to another ship that's fine, but in the story context of the Kalidor, having the Shadows there makes no sense.

Tannis V'larr
Jul 14th, 2010, 10:42:20 AM
I was more thinking transferring all three squadrons to a different ship, honestly. I didn't know the backstory about the Kalidor, but I was thinking a Strike-class cruiser wouldn't be the best base for the most elite squadron in the Empire. It would make more sense for all of them to go to the same ship, whether it's the Termagant or part of Tarrick's fleet.

But putting those three squadrons together would make for a very interesting dynamic. The Bloodfins would still persecute the Hellfires, who would worship the Shadows. The Shadows would appreciate having a solid veteran squad like the Bloodfins around. And Tannis and Bette could tag-team in terrorizing the little nuggets. :)

Alternately, the Kalidor could be reassigned to a battle group containing the ship where the Shadows and/or Hellfires and/or Bloodfins are based? I don't want to rob the Strike of its story significance.

Jul 14th, 2010, 10:46:45 AM
I have to agree that in the context that Kalidor was built for Shadow being there for the long haul would be a little weird. However maybe we could do cameo or two helping you guys out with a mission every now and then?

Also some of us could get shifted in and out occasion because god knows the shadows are not always the most subordinate of individuals. *eyes Bette*

Vikki Tavik
Jul 14th, 2010, 10:49:43 AM
think the Bloodfins are staying with the Kalidor, tbh.

:P At least let us get some threads done! rofl.

Maybe eventually I could see the Kalidor getting reassigned to the battle group... but I think for the time being it'll remain as-is. Just until we can get some actual story rather than just a wiki-entry under our belts. ;)

As for Hellfire... uhh... (as Kistra) I have no arguments against them getting assigned to the same ship as Shadow. Them being bounced around could be a sign of "AHH get these washouts awayyyyyyy!" *shrug* Any of the others have any comments on that bit?

Dasquian Belargic
Jul 14th, 2010, 11:00:13 AM
No offense guys, but the Kalidor is staying as it is - with the Bloodfins there. Like I said, move the Hellfire Squadron where you want, that isn't my creation, but Vikki and I came up with a specific story for the Kalidor that involves it being stationed at the arse-end of space, with no other ships and no squadrons of note onboard :)

Malick Raine
Jul 14th, 2010, 11:16:30 AM
I didn't say nothing about changing the idea or sending them some place new. Just giving a suggestion on how they could have occasionally interact with other squads or other squad members. :)

To be honest I like the idea a descent squad that would be more useful elsewhere. Yet they are to feircly loyal to aging CO and slowly (probably) rusting ship.

Just thought it might be comical to see how other pilots might treat this group of capable yet misfit pilots on occasion is all. :)

Tiercel Habrok
Jul 14th, 2010, 11:25:23 AM
I know - I can appreciate that people are just offering suggestions, but like we said, we'd like to keep the Kalidor as is for now. If people are interested in getting involved in its story, that's cool - but it won't be joining any battlegroups or any such like.

Moving on... ;)

With the new idea kicking around in the Barracks (http://sw-fans.net/forum/showthread.php?t=20953) why not have each group do the re-arm/re-fit at Kuat, and then head to this new frontier station, sort of like a vanguard force entering new waters. It provides plenty of interactive options which was pretty well the aim of the thread.

IC wise it'd be reassignment of resources. Tarricks' Fleet, the Shadows and Hellfire would be operating in the sector. The Kalidor with it's bum rep continues its mission doing whatever, alone, and returning to the station whenever crew rotation or what not happens. Should shit hit the fan Kalidor remains in its deep space Voyager situation cause its way the hell out there and there isn't any comm network to call for assistance.

^ I like it.

Would we have an officer arriving, to inform Bette that her squadron was going to be moved onto pastures greener?

Travis North
Jul 14th, 2010, 04:09:28 PM
It's really up to Bette as a character for it to happen. This'll be more of a calling for players who want to be involved. IC wise it would be voluntary for any long standing soldier of the Empire. Only the best of the best are gonna be leading large compliments of FNGs from the academy aboard shiny new ships set for trailblacing the UR and protecting colinzation operations. The first Imperial forces assembled would be calling the top of the line fit and able to both fight alongside and train younger generations of Imperials for the new worlds.

I think we can work something out, if Tarrick is up for being assigned to the station with his ships. He's planning on being in the RP already, so we'll figure it out. :)

So .... does that mean Shadow and Hellfire ARE together and where are they?

Tannis V'larr

Decisions made about Shadow Squadron:

The squadron is being reinstated at the behest of Lieutenant Commander Tannis V'larr and Captain Tarrick Ragnus, who desires a top-tier superiority squadron for his new battle group. Our hiatus means that we probably don't hold quite the same awe as we used to. This shall quickly be rectified.

Commander V'larr will be the squadron leader, with Lieutenant Commander Bette Davis leading the second flight and Lieutenant Aliya Vahlshallyn leading the third. We will be based on the ISD-II Admonisher under the command of Captain Ragnus, with Commander Thaddeus Grisham, formerly Shadow Squadron leader, serving as the Commander Air Group. Grisham, who thought he had finally washed his hands of us, is now in a rack somewhere sobbing quietly. ;)

Ragnus's battle group will be assigned to the defense of that new space station we've been talking about in the Barracks. That means the pilots on Admonisher will be able to participate in roleplays on the station as well as in sorties by Ragnus's battle group.

If the consensus is that Hellfire squadron wants to join the Shadows, you're more than welcome! :)

I'm in of coarse as part of Shadow squad and I real like this Idea. That and it gives us a regular place to hang out as a group. I do hope Hellfire decides to join us the more character interaction the better. :)

On a side not anyone want to help with this? (http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/showthread.php?t=20969)

I'd like Hellfire to follow the Shadows, if Em is cool with it :) I figure the heroes of Shadow Squadron have to start out somewhere, and that can be as the zeroes of Hellfire :p
