RE: ACHIEVING COMMAND

Oh High Lords of Cobalt... wait wrong genre. To my fellow Starfleet Captains.... damn, no that ain't it either.

Yo Imperial types...

There much better.

I started my bio as a Captain in the Imperial Navy and posted my training combat as requested. As you decide what to do with me (besides being the love slave of Empress Tarkin), I thought it may be prudent to let you know what I would like to do with my character.

I would like to command a single ship, the ISD Mk II Admonisher. I would like to be joined to someone's fleet or taskforce and follow along a few missions with them before striking it out on my own. I have a few storylines that I am working on, some of them small, one of the big that could involve several factions.

Anyway, just wanted to say hey. I also sim for Lowrook and Kylie Archer too (but don't let the other imps know. I don't need my door being knocked down my stormies.)

Anyway, catch you all at the next all male butt slapping rally.

Captain Tarrick Ragnus.

I read your Bio and your training thread.

Appreciate the time you took to tweak (http://www.swconflicts.ucoz.com/forum/3-27-1)your bio to fit this time line. Your training thread is appreciated as well. My only critique would be to lean away from the bean counting aspects and focus more into the characters and their situations.

Reading whats moving where, after which ship, shooting until this occurs, then moving here, until this happens, can be a little draining on the reader. Fans is also moving away from the large scale, bean counting simulations of what fleeting usually composes on other forums.

Focusing on the characters plights in the chaos of combat will also give the reader a chance to relate, at least to a degree, to those characters. Ship names flying through space attacking other ship names will only leave the reader feeling more or less detached from the situation, as if they were reading an after action report.

These are just my opinions though.

As for your requests, I think the ISD Mk II Admonisher, grouped with two Mk I's. To fill out a small squadron of your own to start out isn't out of the question.

Currently the Empire only has two 'Fleet' type writers. Park Kraken (http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/member.php?u=3325) and Travis North (http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/member.php?u=3032). Both of which are absent from writing currently. While joining them in a few threads to start off would be the most desirable option to get your feet wet. It'll be more likely to stunt your growth in this case. It's probably best if you think of a short, brief, story that you would like to do and try to accomplish it in its entirety. Weather that's by doing a solo thread or requesting a rebel to join the thread with you. Reshmar (http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/member.php?u=2947)is generally the go to Rebel for fleeting. I think hes absent currently as well though.

The last active fleet thread was Wookie Wysteria (http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/showthread.php?t=20181&highlight=wookie+wysteria). If you want to take a gander at the Empires latest foray. If you've got any questions or want to toss ideas around, hit me with a pm.

Also, if you want access to the private Empire sections of the Forum go into your:

Control Panel > Group Membership (bottom left hand side) > Select Role playing Galactic Empire - Join.

Once you've done that I can grant you access to our dusty halls.

Welcome! Except maybe for the love slave thing :p

Tear has some good advice! Listen to him, you should ;) I'm definitely more political with a smidgen of fleet, mainly for whatever Miranda is flying around in at the time. Looking forward to another way of interacting with your characters!

Man shot down by the Empress. I shall be a good Imperial soldier and fall on my sword… wait, we don’t do that. (Call’s for his XO) “Hey dude, I need you to fall on this sword for me. That’s a good boy.”

Great advice. Thank you for responding to my post. My posting style is the remnant of my last site where we had to make it like a bean counter, so I look forward to improving upon my style of simming and making it more interpersonal. A force of three ships should give me enough to work with.

And Miranda, I have no hard feelings about such a grave and huge rejection. I hear you have a sister though…

Pretty much what Tear said on the advice. I always enjoy reading about the characters involved in a space combat than the actual fighting. Not to say that you didn't do well in you thread. It just felt very impersonal and very rushed.

Take your time with these things, create an engaging story, and let the creative juices run. As my RP mentor once told me,

"A well written defeat is much better than a poorly written victory"

Seriously, I am just waiting for the day when a recruit completes the Ghorman scenario where the Imperials lose and makes it look good.

Anywho, I'm getting ahead of myself. Park and Travis would definitely be people to speak with at the Empire. I still hold the rank of Admiral of the Fleet. Way back when I did start as a fleeter here before I turned into the coniving ways of the inquisition so I more than know my way around how to fight in space. :p

So if Park or Travis aren't immediately available, feel free send me a PM and I can help set you up. If you want I can dust off my Fleet character and attach Captain Ragnus to his battle-group.

Commanding Officer: Admiral of the Fleet, Teleran Balades
Naval Branch Research and Development/Fleet Support
Overall Command: 92nd Support Fleet
Immediate Command: 13th Light Squadron
Flagship: Aurora-Class Star Destroyer Feanor

We'll see how things work out, Captain. I don't see eye-to-eye with most folks on Imperial Center, but who knows.

I swear Miranda if you make me organize the guest list for your sister in laws wedding I will frakking quit.

Hello Mr. Ragnus you have to register all meetings with empress' through me. Remember she may be the empress' (points to Miranda) but I have the power clear her schedule so you can visit with or fill it up so she has no time at all. That means I have a lot of power, I mean I am about the only person who can tell the empress' what she has to do and get away with it.

Remember that sir and we will get along just fine. :D

My My, I haven't been introduced to you yet. Do we really kick all the ugly chicks out of the Empire?

Maybe this should be a group wedding. I have so much love to go around and it doesn't seem fair to withhold myself from all da ladies!
