Monkey Island 2 gets the HD treatment this month and I am a big fan of the 1st Special Edition HD of Monkey Island and I hope that they will redo more classic Lucas Arts Adventures.

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis all the way.

I still have not played Grim Fandango. Like in Monkey Island 4 the Controls killed this game for me at that time.
People keep on telling me that I missed a huge classic and I guess one day I will have to try it out.

My personal 3 favorites are:
LOOM because of its presentation that was years ahead of its time. Loom has got a real unique Artstyle and I would love to see this game redone with HD artwork.

Indy 4 the Fate of Atlantis is still one of the best adventures because the amount of its length and the high replayablility. If they would redo this one in HD they should do Indy 3 as well because they are both good but maybe they should redo and add in additional action sequences which would feature more modern gameplay mechanics.

And then there is Full Throttle: Great humor and some of the best challenges ever. A fun and anarchistic bike trip that is unfortunately way too short but features like Loom a very cinematic presentation.

Grim Fandango is an extremely fun game. The dialogue is slick, the characters are very much alive (ironically) and the plot is downright wacky. And it's tough, like any adventure-puzzler worth it's salt should be.

Viva la Revolución!

The transition from Year 1 to Year 2 has always been one of my favourite moments in Grim Fandango:

If you don't have it already, Peter, I'd highly recommend downloading the soundtrack: http://www.grimfandango.net/?page=soundtrack

I guess Grim Fandango should be indeed the next game that gets the HD treatment according to our poll here.

I downloaded Monkey Island 2 last week and I must admit that I forgot about how awesome this game really was and how every questline made so much sense.
This game really has some of the best polished riddles of all time.

The HD version is really worth the money and I really like the audio commentary feature in this game. Indeed it made me wonder what happened if Tim Schafer, Ron Gilbert and David Grossman decided to make a game together again.

Hehe but my dream Remake would be a HD version of Loom with a Guitar Hero control scheme.

Why isn't Yoda Stories on that list :(

Yoda's Stories is not a classic Luacas Arts Graphic Adventure infact it is playing in the same league like SW Racer Revenge and the TPM game.

Well I thought it was a classic :p

Really though, I mention Yoda Stories tongue in cheek. It was a cute, amusing time-waster if nothing else.

My vote goes to The Dig anyway :)

I strongly disagree with the majority in this poll. Yes, Grim Fandango is a classic, but it should perhaps be the LAST game listed here to get a HD treatment, because it's less needed than the other games.

Grim Fandango still has nice 3D visuals for its time, cinematic cutscenes, fully voiced dialogue and a proper soundtrack, and it was released on CD-ROM for windows. It aged really well.

The other games were built for MS-DOS to be installed with floppy disks, with clunky interface, text dialogue, MIDI soundtrack, and 256 color VGA graphics..

Most of the games on this list, you can't even run on a modern PC without using DOSbox or similar.

But Grim Fandango is teh bestest!

I finally got to download the soundtrack. When I tried last time it took me to a different page altogether. Listening to it now...

...I'm gone man. Solid gone... :hat

I think DOT will be the next game. Especially since it features the past-present-future gameplay.

Although I would personly prefer a Fate of Atlantis and Last Crusade remake this is very unlikely since the Indiana Jones license could be damaged through a remake.

Especially getting the likeness of some actors for Last Crusade could be difficult and like I mentioned above the action sequences in Indy games did not age well.

So if I had a say in this I would go a lot further than Lucas Arts has gone in the Monkey Island games by adding a new melee game mechanic and removing some of those ugly maps that broke the overall great experience.

Oh and if they redo The Last Crusade I want to have additional action sequences from the movie like the battle with the tank and the motorbike chase.
