Hey all, sorry I've been out of the loop here for the past few months. School, work, and job/internship hunting have really been keeping me time sucked up.
I did just learn today that I've been accepted to an internship position at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab in Laurel, Maryland so I'll be trucking it out there for the summer. I forget if any of you clowns live out in that region, but if you do, feel free to drop by and harass me. I probably won't have anything else to do as I know nothing about the area. :p

Hey, congrats! Do you have a definite date when you're moving yet?

You'll be in my neck of the woods, albeit a few hours drive away.

Congrats! :) Sounds like you've been crazy-busy, so I don't think any of us are going to try and murder you for not being around.
Good luck with the move and the internship!

It all depends on how soon I can find housing in the area. Last second notice for a 2.5 month stay is going to be a bitch. Probably 1-2 weeks before I head out there.
And thanks all. :)

Congrats on the placement. Sounds like an awesome position.
Don't know the area, but you'd probably have a good chance at getting something for that short of a period if you looked at sub-leasing from someone who is there the rest of the year but leave during the summer (ie. students if there is a university/college around).

Check craigslist, it's probably your best shot at finding a place on short notice.

Hoo-rah, I'll be starting on June 14th working as an intern for the Air and Missile Defense Laboratory. Going to be busy until then, I think.

So, does this mean you get a discount on missiles then? Cause that would be one awesome aspect of the employee/intern benefits package :p
Seriously awesome though :hug That sounds like a pretty swanky gig!
