It's getting warm out (if you're in the northern hemisphere, as southies have no souls) lately, and those of us with enough time, patience, and money are probably gardening. We got into it last year to some degree, and had a lot of potted plants (mainly herbs and peppers). Some of y'all came out for Dragoncon and helped to harvest a few of them while you were here. Well now, we've expanded our operation. Sure, we're still growing herbs (and berries!) out of our pots on the deck, but we're also tending to a big garden plot off the side of the house. So far, it's a work in progress, but I figured I'd show where I'm at so far.

Soybeans are up!

Tomatoes (atkinson, black zebra, celebrity, cherokee purple, and brandywine) are fruiting!

Peppers (jalapeno, habanero, cayenne, red bell, orange bell, cow horn) are flowering (and fruiting)

Here's a shot of all the bigger growth stuff (some tomatoes and peppers are still in pots on my deck, waiting for tomorrow) and the corn and soybeans are further down the rows. The box between those rows is a rabbit trap.

Tomorrow I'm tilling and hoeing some more rows, will put in butternut squash, cowhorn okra, rest of tomatoes and peppers. After that, maybe another row of sugar peas.

I am going to push Ty for getting our plants this week, and if that doesn't work I guess there's always next year. :(

I'm not sure what's likely to grow here, or in the limited space we have available.. we don't actually have a garden where I'm living at the moment, but I wouldn't be against a few pots!
