Well, I don't know if anyone was a fan of the original (I've never seen it myself)... but Grace "Boomer" Park was just added to the cast of the remake of this show:
Park will play Kona Kalakua, niece of squad member Chin Ho Kelly, who will be played by Lost's Daniel Dae Kim.
Park's character is described as a champion surfer in the police academy who is recruited to join the police unit run by Steve McGarrett, who will be played by "Moonlight" and "Three Rivers' hunk Alex O'Loughlin.
Filming of the pilot is set to begin on Oahu in March 2010.
Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (who worked on the Star Trek reboot) will be scripting the first episode, whilst Peter Lenkov (CSI NY, 24) would be showrunner if the series is picked up.
