Here it is, the last movie poll for the '00 decade! >_> If everyone liked these then I think we could do the '90s too. But first!
Vote for your favoritest movie of the decade!

The solution is to utilize all your characters, vote once for every option, and then again for the one you wanted to vote for. ;)

If you do, I could help you with a list of nominees, if you want. :)

Sweet! I made a topic about it here (http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/showthread.php?t=20651). :D
As for favorite movie of the decade, I'm going with ROTK, because that was my favorite in the LOTR trilogy. FOTR is probably my #2 favorite of that decade, that's how much I love those movies.

Frankly I'm surprised that TDK doesn't have more votes.
Its hard to win out against LotR, but Gladiator... :huh

Well, LoTR is clearly our fav film series of the decade!

Gladiator was probably my favorite of these choices by a hair. I figured ROTK would win easily, and I figured NCFOM wouldn't get any votes here so I went with it. Maybe I shouldn't have. :lol

I didn't vote Gladiator as the strongest film of 2000, but when stacked against the others, I actually like it over the rest of the litter by a hair.

Maybe we should have just put one option for the whole series here instead of splitting the vote although it is known that the FOTR is the best LOTR movie because in this one PJ took a lot more liberties than in the following movies.
I still want my experimental LOTR cut with Arwen at Helmsdeep and Sauron fighting Aragorn at the gate of Mordoor.
I still think that following the books more closely in the end was a bad idea. The liberties PJ took in FOTR and for the Osgiliath section in TTT helped those movies a lot.

Well, each of the three LotR movies were the individual winners for their years, so that's why they're all listed. :colbert
It looks like (barring a last minute rush of voters) this poll will close tomorrow with Fellowship of the Ring winning SW-Fans Most Favoritest Movie of the Zeroes! Gladiator had a good showing, but if you add in the votes for RotK, LotR ran away with it.
Damn, those are good movies. :love

For me personally, the LoTR movies also have a lot of sentimental value that makes them so special. Obviously I have never been on a quest to Mordor, but seeing them reminds me of the people I was friends with at the time, and also of the good times I was having here on the forums when half of us looked like LoTR characters :)

I think that's because they became more than just films. The trilogy was a cinematic milestone and pretty much the Star Wars of our generation. When a new Rings film was released it was a global event and one which brought more or less everyone together. A very rare and wonderful quality in cinema.
