Who is your favourite Sith character in Star Wars?

That's a very tough question. What criteria do we assess on?

In terms of being the most Sith-like - the most insidious, manipulative, and downright evil, then of course you've got to go with Palpatine. On the other hand, Vader radiated an aura of fear and intimidation that was the stuff of nightmares. Maul too struck fear, but his was more primal and animalistic; and he was so vicious compared to the others. Dooku on the other hand was sort of the gentleman's villain - what else do you expect from Christopher Lee, I guess? - who had evil, and cunning, and grace.

I'm gonna have to go with Palpatine, purely because he's the most Sith-like of the bunch. Maul would be a close second, because he was actually a "Sith", rather than a corrupted Jedi. Of the four though, I'm really not sure which character I like the best. Dooku, maybe? Dunno.

If I had to just pick based on who baddass they are, I'd say Bane or Krayt

Don't get me wrong I love Vader out of all the movies but if you throw EU into it Exar Kun is the king.

I had to give my vote to Maul... after all, it's a vote on "favorite" rather than "who I think is best" :ohno

Short lived as far as when we actually get to see him in "action" (books/comics aside), but he instantly made a giant impression on me as just... pure evily goodness.

...oh and just to be a damn pain in the ass... I'll mention Zannah is a close second favorite. lol

I went with Maul, too. Even though his appearance was brief in TPM, his backstory, his graphic novel and his book and e-novella, are kick ass!

Plus you can't beat that look...facial tattoos! Facial, I tell you!

Anything in the EU that is Sith is a steaming pile of crap so.... Palpatine.

I have only read one EU book with Maul - Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter - and he was woefully underused I felt. In fact having him in the books title was very misleading because the story was much more focused two other characters whose names I can't even remember now.

I absolutely loved the two Bane books though - looking forward to the 3rd coming out in paperback.

If we're going for rule of two Sith here, then I would have to vote for Sidious. But if we aren't, then I would have to vote for Exar Kun, alive form. His whole ghost thing just...totally destroyed his character. I mean it was character assassination at it's finest.
