I've only seen three of those movies, admittedly. Ratatouille was good, but not "favourite" material. Bourne Ultimatum was awesome, but it didn't make me wee my pants with excitement. :ohno

Not that Transformers made me... uh... :uhoh

Fantastic year for film.

But not for what we have to vote for, there's some distinctly ordinary films there.

Ratatouille is what I liked the most from the list, No Country I really have to see and will do so soon, it never really got a relase here. But there is a lack of I Am Legend, 300, Hot Fuzz (that was a bit of wicked fun), Knocked Up was also surpisingly funny and good, Charlie Wilson's War......

And frankly Shoot Em Up rocked the house as the dumb fun winner :D

2008 will be the year where I'll be happy to vote for half a dozen films and I will absoluty hate to vote against either of the three truly great films, one being jsut a rush of good air to comic book films, the other two are so damn good it's not fair to pick either over the other. Actualyl I've got seven listed right now that are worthy of incusion that would get no agrument.

Same! ...and it was the Pixar flick. :lol
Think I'll keep from voting just for that reason... not enough knowledge of the other movies.

No Country for Old Men absolutely. Damn what a disturbingly uncomfortable, well made film that was.

Ratatouille would be my pure fun pick though.

I don't care what else is on...There Will be Blood, No Country For Old Men, and Diving Bell and the Butterfly by themselves made it a great year. To pick just one of those was tough.

And yet, the fact that here Transformers has the same number of votes as There Will Be Blood makes me despair for the world.

I DRINK YOUR MILKSHAKE!

I DRINK IT UP!

Embed for Lil's pleasure. Spoiler alert. This scene occurs near the end of the movie. So if you want to go in unscathed avoid it. But it doesn't really give anything crucial away other then Daniel Day-Lewis saying the line.

It was a toss-up between Blood and No Country. Both were so awesomely good; I can't really decide. I ended up flipping a coin.
