View Full Version : Faction Locations/Galactic Map
Karl Valten

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I've been searing around and couldn't find anything. With all the influx of people and new faction popping up it may be a good idea to make another SWFans map (or at least have a data repository) so people have an idea OOC of which groups lay claim to which section of space so that people won't run into issues later on.
I guess here's an example of something I'm looking for:
The Galactic Empire: Most Deep Core, Core, Inner, and Colonies worlds. If it isn't independent or under the sway of one of the other factions, it's probably ruled by the Empire. The have some influence in the expansion and mid-rim as well.
The Office of the Inquisitoriate: While part of the Galactic Empire, they do claim strong influence over certain areas. The planet Prakith in the Deep Core and the Maw Cluster are under their direct control. These are unknown to nearly everyone outside of the Inquisition. Knowledge of the Maw Cluster is limited to Karl Valten and his lieutenants for now. They also have a large outposts on Imperial Center, Eriadau, and Kuat.
I'm not much involved with the other factions but I can guess:
Hapan Consortium: Controls the Hapes Cluster and ?????
Kingdom of Onderon (Kuklos Ataxia): Onderon and ?????
Black Sun: No freaking clue
Black Nebula: Ditto
Cizerack Pride: Carjoulis Cluster. Sorry if I buthered the spelling on that.
The Independents: Several Unknown and Outer Rim worlds. Several other worlds also closer to the core (I need a refresher)
Rebel Alliance: Spread all over the place, no idea on real specifics.
Other Groups: I'm forgetting many, many things.

Black Nebula: Runs out of Jabba's Palace on Tatooine also has offices on cloud city and coruscant last I knew and one on Rodia I believe.

Hapes-Onderon Alliance occupies the Hapes Cluster, Onderon and Dathomir (loosely) at present.

Pride's in the Carshoulis Cluster. Pretty close yeah :)
I need to find the cluster's planet list again. I know I had it somewhere.

This post (http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/showpost.php?p=323734&postcount=7)lists all the planets under Independent sway along with a rough map of territories. Everything in tan is basically Empire influence, although I am sure there are some non aligned worlds stuck in, but frankly there are just too many planets and systems to wiki and find out for sure.
The sectors closer to the core like the Glynthe S. which includes Iridonia would be a sector taken by Tear but hasn't overtly joined the Independents. Sort of like a sleeper sector. The other closest sectors to the Core would be Bassadro, Devaron, Vulvarch, and Teyr who's Moffs were swapped with Tear's and subsequently launch an attack on Fondor along with the attacks of Mandalore and Bastion.
The smaller little blips of places touched by Tears crusade would be places he holds some sway. Not specifically military. The exceptions being Khomm and Cartao which were left pretty much a wasteland or ruins.
The News (http://www.sw-fans.net/forum/showthread.php?t=20197)post should help piece together anything I've missed.
The Cizerack's Carshoulis Sector (http://panicked.org/webmap1/2.html) is from what has been said half the size of the Hapes Consortium (in space size) and I believe would be located along the Hydian Way. On this map (http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p19/DirtyMongooze/Star-Wars-Galaxy-Map1.jpg) their blop of space would probably be roughly located near the "n W" where the words Hydia'n W'ay meet? I'll pencil them in on the map when I have a moment.

Only one I can speak for and it's not really an "ownership" by any means... but Silenus Corporation has taken up residence in the Ruusan system. Nothing on the planet itself... mostly on the asteroid belt there. Russard Industries have a joint operation with Silenus there as well now. Think Charny might be in some future plans, same system so no real big push for anything. ha ha.
And while by no means actually part of the company, there is a slight vested interest in Zeltros in just the fact that Emelie's grandmother runs a crime syndicate there. Family et all...
*shrug* All in all, nothing huge... just probably worth mentioning.

Karl, don't forget Byss as a world under the direct control of the Inquisitorius that is also completely unknown to any outside of the INQ.

Black Sun doesn't control any planets, they're a crime syndicate not a governing body.
We do have our main offices on Coruscant, masquerading beneath the facade of Reeouurra Inc. And legitimate casinos on several worlds, as listed in the Wiki. Also when we reabsorb Black Nebula our secondary offices (and seedier ones I might add ;)) will be on Tatooine I believe.

Canonically, I believe the House of Tagge occupies Tepasi (the capitol city is named Unlos Tagge :lol) - so I guess that Tepasi would full under the rule of the Empire.

Does anyone still have the old galactic map that was put together with all the territories and how they were divided?
I think it's about time we update that.

I did a really basic ugly looking thing here (http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p19/DirtyMongooze/Star-Wars-Galaxy-Map1.jpg).(It actually needs updating already) But I think you are referring to the really old one done back in the day here (http://panicked.org/webmap1/).

Ahh, thank you both :)
I'll go ahead and merge this with the thread you linked to, Jenny.
edit - Tear, I like the simplicity of yours a lot. Do you mind if I muck around with it some?
