Two things made my evening...

One is hearing that Miller got a louder/longer ovation than Crosby at tonights game in Pittsburg. :lol

Second and more importantly is seeing my Dad, at least mentally, is back 100% and him telling me that I better go to the hockey game tomorrow or he'll steal my tickets from me. Haha

Oh my! And I just realized him being out of work means I can take my Dad to the game on the 19th when the Islanders come to play (family is from Long Island) :eeeGood news on ALL fronts!

Because of switching from weekly pay on an agency to a full monthly gig with the company, I haven't been paid anything since 19th February, and have had to survive for five weeks on the meagre savings I've been managed to set aside from my sub-par wage.

This morning, I was informed that because of a paperwork fuck-up, I won't be getting paid anything until next month; and because of my sub-par, below "London Living Wage" earnings, my savings were only just enough to tide me over. So somehow I have to survive - oh, and get to work, else I won't get paid then, either - on absolutely squat.

I feel your pain: only, I have the added complication that there isn't enough storage space for "her stuff" and "my stuff" because she fills all the cupboards, so I have to buy only food that won't go off if it's left in a carrier bag. -_-

After much deliberation I went with the Razer Carcharias headset. I did not want a USB headset that wouldn't make use of a sound card (I'm planning on ordering the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium). What I wanted was a sturdy, comfortable, quality headset which wasn't garish or flash, and I'm happy with my purchase. The Carcharias headset doesn't have all kinds of extra features for the money but that's not what I'm after anyway. Although, the Sennheiser PC 360s did have me drooling a little...
