I don't see all four home teams losing so at worse you might go 2-2. Home Teams in the division round usually win like 75% of the time.

Geez at this rate Chris Berman's 77-75 (or whatever it was) projection might come true.

Arizona is going to be in trouble loosing Rogers-Cromartie...

The Saints looked amazing they look like the team that started the season red hot.

Ugh...just like the very bogus Superbowl of 2006 it seems oddly co-incidental that the Colts aren't quite good enougn on their own that they got a lot of breaks by the refs. A questionable PI call(as usual) to help them score in the 1st half and a very blatant non PI call on Bracket on a huge 3rd down for the Ravens. In addition to a number of other questionable calls. At one point the annoucners were hucking it up when they displayed a stat that Manning gets the most PI calls in the league...hmm...I wonder how that happens?

When you're good, and have built a reputation of being good, you get calls. It's like that in all sports. It's not like the Pats didn't get their fair share of favorable calls during their playoff runs of lore.

As for specifics, I did not see the non-call on Bracket, but the PI on the Ravens near the end of the first half was completely justified. The DB arm-barred Wayne on the double-move while the ball was in the air.

Colts looked solid. I'm hoping the play San Diego next weekend; should be a great game if it plays out that way.

The Saints probably got the best possible matchup to get get their mojo back, and took full advantage. They're still beatable, but things look a lot brighter for them now. They need to hope for a physical, drag-out game between Minnesota and Dallas to take a toll on whomever wins that game.

I think the Saints are in a good shape. If they play Dallas again, it will not be the same game and they will give them a very different look. Part of me will hate to see Minnesota win because all we will hear is about Brett Favre. Also, I am curious when was the last time all the top seeds won? I think it is looking good for that happening in the AFC. Minnesota I am not sold on yet.

Don't forget it was the Colts whining and Mr. Polian who pulled some strings in league circles to get the rules changed because his team got beat in the playoffs. Colts always get a key PI call, I've seen a lot of Colts games and they'll just chuck one deep and get the beneit of a really shady call.

Bears DE Gaines Adams died of an enlarged heart. HGH maybe? There is no way these NFL players aren't on "supplements" and with their size it has to put a serious strain on their bodies, just hope this doesn't become a trend.

Is it too late to change my pick to the Vikings?

Jedi Master Carr
Jan 17th, 2010, 01:09:15 PM
LOL I know I am glad I picked them even if it was out of bias. The Vikings look great right now and Adams is now out for Dallas which aids the best pass rusher in the NFL Jared Allen to get to the QB.

Edit

That should be the ball game.

Hey Romo! Those forward flips do not work! Besides, don't you only get one of those per three games?

Jan 17th, 2010, 02:58:02 PM
I have not been rooting for the Vikings, I've been rooting against the Cowpies :evil. So needless to say, I've been having a very good time.

I work with a die-hard Cowpies fan who does not like Tony Romo at all. No doubt she'll be bitching quite heavily about him the next time I see her :lol.

The Vikings-Saints game will probably be pretty kick-ass!

Jedi Master Carr

I think it has great potential. I think the Saints will win mainly because they are so a great home team and the Vikings play poor on the road.

So three out of four first-round-bye teams have won so far... last year, three out of the four home teams went down to the wild card winners. The Colts, Saints, and Vikings all look unequivocally like they deserve to advance to the championship round.

Thus says Lyk: Our Favre who art in Missisipi, hallowed by thy number 4. The Bowl will come, it will be won, in Miami as it is in the Done. Give us this Sunday our weekly win. Fourgive us touchdown passes but do not let others pass against us. Lead us not into frustration but deliver us to the Super Bowl...for thine is the MVP the best of the NFC and the glory of the Purple People Eaters, now and forever...AMEN!

SKOL VIKINGS!

Damn damn damn...why did the Chargers wait until now to play a crappy game?

Looks like I'll be rooting for the Saints the rest of the way.

Yeah the same here. I was shocked how poorly the kicker played. If he had made those two easy kicks they would have won. I guess it will be New Orleans and Indy in the SB.

I almost felt like Phil Simms and Jim Nantz cursed Nate Kaeding...no sooner did they mention he hadn't missed in like a bazillion tries, he missed. :shakefist

If it does end up being the Colts and Saints in the SB, I'll be okay with whoever wins, although I'll be rooting for the Saints. And I KNOW jjwr will be rooting for the Saints! ;)

The only team I didn't want to win the SB was the Chargers, so I'm happy now with whoever wins :angel . (FYI, it's not the team I hate, but just like some people like my brother-in-law are rabidly against Brett Favre, I have the same rabid feelings against Rivers). :lol :lol :lol
