Asha Vendax

Gun drawn and clasped tightly in her right hand, she raced at full speed down the quiet, deserted street. At nearly four in the morning, nearly all of Coronet City's clubs and restaurants had closed down, save for those few after-hours joints in The Row.

Asha was, however, chasing down a suspect on the opposite side of Blue Sector from the Row. Chasing down a suspect in a string of murders that had driven CorSec sleepless for the last month. Nearly every experienced agent had lent a hand at the case, which the young woman counted as a blessing, but it was her responsibility.

And this bastard was her first solid suspect.

Rounding a corner, Asha cussed under her breath and came to a stop. Further down, the rapidly narrowing street she watched as the suspect disappeared into the maintenance entrance of an abandoned warehouse. She freed one hand and tapped the comm hooked over her ear, waiting for it to connect before she spoke.

"Jasik."

"Its Vendax. Suspect's gone into the empty warehouse on Fourth Street, Blue Sector, entrance around the back on the alley. Going in after him."

"Copy that, Asha. Need backup?"

"Gimme fifteen before you send the cavalry. I don't wanna risk losing him."

"Got it. Watch yourself, kid. Jasik out."

She spared half a moment for a grin before she picked her way carefully down the alley and slipped into the warehouse.
