Some of these games will be tough since you don't know which playoff teams will even care about their games.

Well, my picks are sucking yet again so far. The only one I'm regretting is picking the Giants...that was a calculated risk that has ended up being pretty dumb.
Watching PIT-MIA, that was a big hit on Pat White, hopefully he'll be okay.

The Patriots didn't seem to care there towards the end, Brady hardly played in the 4th quarter.

and with that INT Pit will win, but still need three teams to lose tonight to make the playoffs.

Hey, I just had a thought...how many coaches are going to get fired tomorrow? :evil
Xavier Synik
Jan 3rd, 2010, 04:01:10 PM
Is this for bonus points? :p
there may be none tomorrow or there may be a couple. Most of the teams at the bottom of the standings this year have a first year coach and usually you get 1 full year before your job gets put on the line (unless your in Oakland).
I could see Cleveland making a change, Washington likely.
With the front office changes in Seattle there could be a coaching change.
And given the issues that Cable has had in Oakland I could see him getting
canned again.
Not sure if any of those happen tomorrow though. Except maybe Cleveland and Washington.

Zorn will be fired tomorrow other than that I am not sure. The Bills will be looking for a new coach but that could be unless Davis fires Cable which he might.

CLE won their fourth game in a row today, and how long as it been since that's happened? I would be (kind of) suprised if CLE makes a change as soon as tomorrow.

Actually, I said the Chargers were the team to beat for the SB and I still think that. I thought the Eagles would win for the NFC. The NFC is wide open, the Saints could do it if they get healthy. Honestly, though I don't see any NFC team beating the AFC. The AFC is just too good.

I hope the Steelers have nice HD TVs, cause that's about as close to the playoffs as they're gonna get.

So its down to Houston and the Jets, since the Chiefs blew out the Broncos. I was happy with that win.

I will be surprised if the Chargers don't make it to the Super Bowl. But of course I'm just a wee bit biased. :cool

Honestly in the AFC I can't any of the other 4 teams making it to the SB. They all have injuries or other problems that will prevent it. In the NFC, you could make an argument for all 6 teams. The AFC will be the Chargers vs Colts with the Chargers winning. The NFC is a crap shoot although they will get mauled by the Chargers.

I was hoping that, in lieu of the Steelers, at least the Texans would be able to make their first playoff appearance, but Cincinnati lost so hard they should start next week's game against the Jets down by fourteen. Looks like the Bungles are going to be one-and-done again this year.
And speaking of the Pats - I don't think taking Brady out was a mark of them not caring so much as it was a mark of Brady playing like crap in a game they didn't need to win. Yes, he was screaming on the sideline to get back into the game, but his backup was playing much better than he was.
Anyway, on to the tally:
Jedi Master Carr: 14-2
Dragon: 12-4
Lykaios: 12-4
Figrin D'an: 11-5

Nathanial K'cansce: 9-7
Xavier Synik: 9-7
Miranda Tarkin: 8-8

3. Dragon: 170-86 (158)

5. Nathanial K'cansce: 168-88 (159)
5. Yog: 168-78 (158)

Ugh, I knew I shouldn't have looked at this weekend's totals, I knew I sucked really bad :x. But I was so far back in the pack anyways, it didn't matter :lol.
This weekend's games are total deja vu, since 3 of the 4 games are week 17 rematches. Which means I will probably suck again ;).

not related to the playoffs but Charlie Weiss is the new Offensive Coordinator for the Chiefs. It also looks like Romeo Crennel will be named Defensive coordinator next.
