"I don't want to be here Jare. We were here yesterday and the day before wasting the day away. Hell we are here every dam day doing the same thing drinking til we are piss blind."

Jare just looked at Uri with a smile before his drunken hand clinched around another glass that was being handed him by the tender.

"What the hell time did you start anyway Jare? I bet you can't even stand?"

Jare just took a long hard swig of his Ale before looking back at Uri. Jare had heard the same speech for weeks now coming from Uri's mouth. They never did anything exciting accept waste what creds they earned on swill. Really Jare didn't see anything wrong with it; they earned the right to drink the day away after all.

"Uriel we have chased away the rodian speeder gang. We have earned the right to relax for a few weeks before the next gang try's the claim this shit hole. This is KOR's pot to piss in and some day maybe those other gangs will figure it out."

Uri just shook his head at Jare maybe the Kiffar was right. Maybe they had earned the right for a little rest until the next gang came to town looking for trouble. It wasn't like there was much to do on Kiffex (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kiffex) other then cause trouble or go too Deadend (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Deadend).

"Hey Jare how about we hitch a ride to Kiffu (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kiffu)?'

"Why the hell would we want to go and do that for?"

Uri Just gave Jare a scowl.

"Really why not, I hear in the capitol they throw an epic Galactic new year’s party."

"We have new years here man."

"Oh really what the heck are the plans sit here on our butts and get drunk?"

"Sounds good to me."

Uri just shakes head and sighs.

"What drinking and we got the local chicks what more could you ask for?"

"Real women and Real Booze."

"All Kiffu has is more Kiffar. Not like they would be interested in you, you’re just human."

"Your inebriated friend is correct." Came the deep, gravely voice beside them at the bar. He had, for the most part, kept entirely to himself and had faded out of the public eye until he finally spoke. A lot of people were in here today, just drinking. You did not need a reason to drink, least of all a good one, so everyone was welcome. Xel was there because his prospects had just went down the hole. His job had been to strike a deal with a local Rodian gang. Rodians were masters of modifying weapons and his organization had wanted him to find a small group of the little green blaggarts to modify a few Imperial weapons that had been stolen and were in a state of electronic lockdown that needed to be lifted. Rodians got most of their weapons from raids and stealing so they would be perfect. This weapons were meant to be resold so they wanted them tampered on by experts and not damaged by their own technicians. Also, that way they could not be traced back to them and any back tracking would just bring the Empire down on the Rodians' heads.

However, he got here just to find out the gang had moved out. He'd have to track them down now, so he was desperately in need of a drink to calm him before he killed something. The sound of the two men bickering beside him about where to party and the value of just drinking had roused him from his revelry. "You'd have better prospects paintin' a stripe on your noggin'. There ain't much to the women here. Trust me. One of the least entertainin' planets ever, and that's saying something. Good if you have a thirst something mighty." And with that he raised the brown beer bottle to his lips and sucked more of the repulsive yet tasty liquid down.

"If you boys are lookin' for a better time, I know of a club nearby that's more lively than this dump, no offense meant." He finished, setting his glass down and nodding toward the bar tender to which the last part of his sentence had been directed. The man just shrugged and went back to doing bar tendering things, like wiping down glasses with a manky dish cloth.

Maddox slid a possessive arm around Naga's shoulders as she came up and sat herself beside him. Giving him a squeeze and flashing a million-credit grin at Uriel and Jare, Bambi ignored the immediate aggression that her touch spiked across Xel's back.

"Who are your friends, honey?" she asked buoyantly, "I thought the ones we were lookin' for were green. And short. And had those ugly lil ears"

Without even looking at Maddox, Xel turned to look at the two young men. "Clean faces, shiny eyes, gang colors, no scars..." Xel paused to run the nail of his thumb on the opposite side of his chin, along the length of a fine scar that traced through his mounting stubble. "Nobodies." He finished, turning back to his drink, still not making eye contact with Maddox. Not because he did not want to, but because there was no reason to look her in the eye.

He was about to inform her that the Rodians were gone, a little tidbit of information he had picked up from a random passerby. They had come here together to unlock the merchandise and had split in opposite directions when they could not find the gang that was supposed to be running rampant in the area, and this city. However, he stopped when the brighter, and more talkative, of the two men mentioned Rodians.

"That's a same, that is. 'specially since Club Charnel lets my kind in for free," He continued, leaning forward toward the man, just a little in a uncomfortable kind of way, "So why don't you tell me what you know about Rodians, ya?" his hand opposite the man reached up and gripped the neck of his beer bottle rather tightly. Surviving all the years of his life, before and after his cryo, had meant he had learned to improvise his weaponry. Anything was a weapon when in capable hands. These tykes were hardly trouble, but he did not want to lose his face by accident either. He'd already lost his legs in recent years.

Grinning like a pirate, Bambi waited for Uriel to respond. The scent of distrust wafting from off him towards them was heavy in the air and Maddox breathed it in like nectar. It was to just such volitile situations that she was born, like a duck to water, and the fact that things could go north, south or any which way at the drop of an errant vowel, was her idea of good times.

Xel let out a sigh and set his bottle down. Arrogant little pubs. Did he really think he could make demands with Black Nebula? Sure they did not have the instant name dropping respect that Black Sun got, but as a offshoot of the original company they had more then enough fire power and muscle. Xel and Maddox were not the only people here. Two people, tricking the Rodians into helping? Not a chance. Someone had to carry the money, and guard it. Reaching up Xel ran a hand along the scar on the side of his naked skull, his finger tracing the length of the old shrapnel cut, and then doubled back, tracing it backwards. It was a signal, to the other Black Nebula in the room. Trouble was afoot.

Reaching down to his hip, Xel pulled out a very large blaster pistol and set it down on the bar top. It was quite a gun. It looked like it had once been a Blastech model but it was so heavily modified that it hardly resembled the original weapon at all. The custom grip was not only easy to handle but had a DNA scanner in it. It would only work for Xel unless deactivated by voice command. He took no chances. Ever. "I'll let you schutta leave here alive. I represent some very mean, very well connected people so do not give me any of your shak. "All I ask in return is that you tell me where these fine, green bodied gentlemen are since I have a business arrangement with them and I would not like to miss it. Good answer, bad answer. Doesn't matter. I just want an answer without any of this bush whacking... or you'll bet he one getting whacked?" He finished, with what was probably a new world record for the most words spoken by him in one go. The kid could make a go for his blaster, or pull one of his own. Xel was prepared. He already had his hand sitting next to his blaster, and there were other goons in the room. He did not trust them with his life but it would ensure that these guys died if they gunned him down. Maddox was beside him, and likely fingering a weapon as well.

Xel was not in the mood for this, but these guys were not exactly cooperating. "Maybe if your good little schutta I'll even pay for your drinks and an extra round. It's not worth dying over, but I do love me a good killin'."

Uri looked down at the blaster for a moment; it was a nice blaster to say the least. Then again Uri wasn't up to speed on what was a fine weapon throughout the galaxies it could be a piece of crap to whatever else was on the market. Uri turned to his friend that was standing behind him and spoke in jest to him.

"So this man and one eyed woman walk into a bar put a blaster down on the bar and demand we tell them about the little green men, how does this joke end again?"

"I'm sure not well; they rarely ever do with you. You should give up your dreams of being a comedian."

Uri laughed at his friends comment before turning back to the two had mean friends.

"Which group of rodian scum bags are you looking for there are three of them in surrounding area? They all hate each other more than they hate me and my crew for keeping them out of town."

Well, that explains why he couldn't find any of the little buggers. "We're looking for the t'chunga gang. Those are the ones with the red tattoos. Not the Dreds or Slingers." They were cooperating now, which was a strange change in direction. Xel did not want to look this gift pony in the mouth but he could not help but thing there had to be an ulterior motive here somewhere for them to just turn around and offer their help. He kept his eyes on them, and he hoped Maddox was keeping her... one, on them. If the boys coughed up the info he wanted than he could find it in his heart to not kill them himself, or get someone else to do it.

It was bad enough he had to spend time with Maddox. He absolutely hated the woman, and she had been thrust into his lap and he did not care for it at all. These boys were his only lead right now and he hoped this went smoothly and quickly so he could get this mission done and be done with Maddox, even if just for the moment. Any time away from her was a good time. Frak, just being around her made his legs twitch and his neck sweat. Knowing her she'd break his legs again just for giggles. At least it would be less painful this time. There wasn't much left for nerves in his legs, the injury damaging a lot of the sensory down there causing several numb spots. They were functional and better than ever, but it did suck when he didn't realize someone had shot him because they managed to hit a numb spot.

Naga was on a roll, chattin' like a daytime talkshow host with a pair of holo-soap stars. And the sideways non-look he kept slipping her made Maddox suspect he was beginning to like her - and why not? She was somethin special, after all.

Bambi found it a bit hard to believe, however, that blondie and his monosyllabic friend were the reason the Rodian gangs were nowhere to be found in this crapshoot town.

"So..." she drawled, "You guys some kinda bounty hunters? Or lawmen maybe, like..um...um..." she snapped her fingers two or three times trying to find the words. "Marshalls" Naga supplied sharply in hopes of getting Maddox to quit snapping right in his ear. "Yeah, Marshalls or.." again with a snap, "Sherriffs or somethin?"
