(Australians and Floridians need not apply. ;))
We pushed 32* F today for our high, but we've been experiencing lows in the teens all week. Frickin' cold, dude! And we're expecting snow/freezing rain/a mess starting late tonight for the weekend before we finally warm up to the 40s.
How about where you are? I know there is some just EPIC arctic weather out there right now.

It is a balmy 37 this evening...and for the record, skis and I do not get along at all. We have differences of opinion on where they should be going.
I prefer the cold too...but 20 below is a bit much for me (doesn't get quite *that* cold in the part of Mass that I live in). I remember it hit something like 30 below one year with the wind chill during a football game at the old Foxboro stadium. We took turns standing in the walk in cooler, because at 40 degrees it was -warm-. The old stadium was built in such a way that the ring beneath the seats where the concession stands were was a wind tunnel on the *best* of days.

3 problems with that, chum.
1: I haven't skated in years.
2: It's hella cold.
3: Going skating by oneself (and sadly I have been unable to find a pretty unattached girl to accompany me) is just pathetic.

Without checking, I think it's been cooler than one could expect in the entire northern hemisphere in december and now in january. I blame it on volcanic eruptions (http://news.google.com/news/search?aq=f&cf=all&ned=us&hl=en&q=volcano) which have been very notable the last month or so, and has a dimming effect (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_dimming) on the climate, if only for a while.
