The reviews have been so-so, and the original is a twisted, psychadelic, smashing classic. But the lure of Ian McKellan is irresistable. I will watch!

I will watch it just for McKellan. He has never disappointed me in anything he has done. He was the best about several movies including the Da Vinci Code.

Couldn't make it past the first hour, even with Ian McKellan. :(

Well, until amc puts it online somewhere, I won't see it. I refuse to buy cable.

I tried watching most of it, but really couldn't understand it. McKellan was great as always, but he was the only reason I kept watching.
