Shadow Storm

Well, currently the remains of Ida are spreading rain and wind over a large area of the Ohio valley and Mid-Atlantic states, but the worst could be yet to come.
I'm posting this here since this could be a significant natural disaster event. Basically, although this is not set in stone yet, the remains of Ida are projected to move through northern Florida and southern Georgia into the Atlantic, then head north-east, and combine with another system out there, tagged 98L. Once this system combines, it could prove another significant rain event for the Mid-Atlantic states and New England, a forecasted rainfall projected to be in the seven inches range on average, from tomorrow until the weekend.
Also, as the system moves northwards, a high pressure system should develop over the state of New York, and herein lies the danger. A wind corridor could develop between the high and low pressure systems, resulting in significant coastal flooding, with waves topping out at around seven to fifteen feet high, last from tomorrow possibly until Sunday of next week.
High potential for a lot of pain and damage coming up, but right now it's wait and see how it plays out.
