It looks great, has an incredible cast in Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes. I know people say remakes can be bad but this one needed a remake. The original was a pretty bad film besides the scenes with Medusa.

I was looking forward to this, the production quality looks excellent but it's a shame that teaser makes it look like a big, dumb, super-stylized studio executive soggy biscuit game. This! Is! MEDUSAAAA!!!

Well it is a teaser, so they just try to cram in as much as they can to show it off. I bet the next trailer will do a much better job.

I'm more picky about teasers to be honest. I think the tone of teasers tend to convey the tone of the films, nothing to do with plot or character, but it should give you an idea of what kind of film it's going to be and while it looks impressive, it gave me no sense of wonder, like the Transformers trailers.

The fact that I've already seen Medusa and a bloody good money shot of the Kraken says to me they're really trying to sell this film on its visual merit. Let's face it, the trailers have been nothing but fast-paced quick-cut action from start to finish and now that I've gotten over the fact that Clash of the Titans will be an all-brawn-and-no-brains popcorn movie and consequently know what to expect, I think it will be fun. It would be nice if there was a bit more meat to the characters and narrative than the trailers suggest but it's not surprising that in the wake of its success, they've gone the 300 route. The production and effects look brilliant and given the story, and my soft spot for Greek mythology, I think I'll enjoy this one.

I have bad memories of the cheesefest that the original is. Fun, but CHEESE. So I wasn't turned on to this idea when I first heard about it.
Then I saw Liam Neeson as Zeus. I am SO there! :eee

I have such a soft spot for the original, cheesy as it was. And the previews look so good, I'm beside myself.
And they even managed to cast an actor who's at least half-Greek - absolute bonus, IMO. Someday they'll make me happy and cast more, but I'll settle for one for now

I saw this last night. It's not bad at all. Great casting. Excellent special effects. Really good music.
I spent part of the time saying to myself, "That's Apollo!" or "There's Hermes!"
I just want a Norse pantheon movie. That'd be awesome!

I'm offput by the Rotten Tomatoes score. Probably won't bother trying to find a 3D screening of it, but if I have the time to kill (ha) I might check it out.
How to Train Your Dragon is my priority right now.

Saw it tonight. Worth going to the theater to see it, but don't bother seeing it in 3D. There isn't any "Whoa" or "Holy shit" moment that you get in some 3D movies.
But a good movie overall.

Oh yeah, seeing it in 3D...NOT worth it. Waste of time.

It wasn't filmed to be in 3D, they added it afterward, which is why the effect isn't as mind blowing as Avatar, or How to Train Your Dragon (which is super good)

We only had 3D versions so I didn't have much choice there - though I did thing the 'chase' type scenes (Medusa's temple, Perseus riding the Pegasus through Argos) worked well in 3D.
Overall a fun, popcorny movie. Pretty cheesy but then what else would you expect? It looked like the actors had fun hamming it up, and Gemma Arterton continues to charm her way into my heart :3
