This is true. Mainly, I need tomatoes, basil, green beans, cilantro, and some other herbs. Most of which I could also use frozen or dried or canned, but fresh always tastes better in the end result of what I'd like to make.

The baklava is easy - unless you're going to tell me I won't be able to find filo dough, in which case, I have to make it from scratch which is a pain in the posterior and not really worth the trouble. I can bring my own walnuts and buy the other ingredients.

Oh...and shrimp...I need shrimp....unless anyone is allergic to shellfish, in which case, I can use something else :)

Unless you're willing to buy hothouse tomatoes at a premium, I'd actually suggest using canned. The stuff in the produce aisle off-season is pretty weak. Since we've got a year to plan, when I start canning I can maybe jar some up if you want. The only diff is that they'll have a little citric acid to tweak the pH but that aside, they'll be at their peak.

The rest will be easy, even in Gardnerville. Even if you can't find Filo (which I think you can), we will undoubtedly make a pilgrimmage up to Reno at some point for something, and you can find everything an Jimmy Hoffa up there.

Haha, I doubt we'd get too knackered while at Tahoe, since the sled/scenic stops are off the interstates, and no one wants to stumble into the path of an oncoming car.

I cannot vouch for the sobriety of anyone however, when we tie the mattress to the four wheeler at my mom's though ^_^;
