Not sure how many have heard but they are currently filming a film version of the A-Team to come out in June 2010.
Here is the cast
Hannibal Smith-Liam Neeson
Face Peck -Bradley Cooper
H.M Murdock Sharlto Copely
B.A.- Quinton Rampage Jackson
also stars Jessica Biel as Face's former love.
Here are some pictures

Liam Neeson does look the part since they grayed his hair. I think it could be a very fun film if done right. Hopefully, it can be as fun as the series was a times.

Hannibal - looks the part, I don't know if Liam is going to be a good fit

B.A. - looks GREAT. :D Needs more gold chains, but in this economy ;)

Face - not so happy with Cooper, neither is my sister who is a huge Face fan.
I guess we'll see how well he fits the role.

Murdock - I have no idea who that guy is? They gave him the wrong color baseball hat though :( Dwight Schultz/Murdock is my favorite actor/character from the show...so he better do it justice!

If they can keep it campy/sort of serious and funny, it will be awesome. I'm hoping they'll have cameos but they'll probably only have Mr T in it :(

Sharlto Copley is the lead actor from District 9. And he was FABULOUS in that, considering that he basically had no real acting experience before it. I'm really, really glad that he's getting a high-profile role in a big production, because I think he's got a great future ahead of him.

That said, though, the idea of an A-Team movie just makes me cringe. First of all, I was never into the original show in the first place, so it holds no interest for me. And secondly, I'm just getting sssooo tired of movies based on old TV shows. It just confirms that in many ways, Hollywood is bankrupt of original ideas.

I loved the old show and actually that is one series that seems fit for a movie.

I loved the old show too. :3 And casting Rampage Jackson is appropriate because he can probably act as well as Mr. T can.

:lol One of my favorite parts of Dragon*Con was listening to Dirk Benedict and Dwight Schultz talk about Mr. T, lol!

Man the cast looks perfect to me, especially Liam Neeson. He looks like Peppard in that photo.

That was one of my favorite things from D*Con too, plus meeting both of them! :D Dwight Schultz is incredibly awesome.

Cast pic looks good, but I still hate Cooper as Face >_<

I think it looks great reminds me a lot of the old show, although they showed a lot of Bradley Cooper.

Face is the one who sticks out as "not sure" in my mind. Everyone else looks like they're going to do a good job of it. It may end up being a bit of a Star Trek - the same basic characters, but with a different twist - but JJ Abrams made it work, so I'm firmly in the benefit of the doubt category at the moment.

Was that a tank falling through the air on parachutes?!

Awesome.

I loved that part especially with Face shooting the gun at other planes . I think it looks like a fun film, I especially like the look of Hannibal and Murdock.

I've never really watched the A-Team, but it looks like this could be fun :)

Jessica Biel... yum.

Jessica Biel... yum.

Talentless hack with a whiny voice who is just a stupid stick insect who only looks half decent with excessive photoshopping. Yeah I want more of that in a movie that should be only about explosions and big guns!

Been rather hesitant on this one... but after watching the trailer, I have to admit some part of me became overly giddy. All worries about Liam Neeson pulling off Hannibal are gone.

And yes... The tank... parachuting... while Face is shooting at stuff? After Murdock's little "you'll notice the right wing is on fire" line? I think I'm sold. :lol

Jessica Biel is no stick insect.

Jessica Biel... yum.

That this was uttered by someone with a Hugh Grant avatar makes it even more amusing.

Obviously, she was brought in for eye candy to bring in some teenage boys. Luckily, I don't think she will hurt the film that much. I think the film (based on the trailer) will have ton of action and Neeson and Copley and even Jackson look perfect in their roles. Not sure about Cooper but he was good in the Hangover and has the looks for Face.

Never said she was a good actress. Just said, and I quote, "yum". I find her attractive. Sorry?

Totally agree with JMC. He has potential, but I'll wait 'til I see it.

Another note: did Face ever actually have a former love interest?

Face has TONS of love interests. Some were just eye-candy for a few moments on the show, others had something to do with the plot. Everyone on the show (except Mr T?) had a love interest in at least one episode that I know of.

I was really worried about Murdock, but after seeing the trailer :3 I am wondering if they drugged B.A.s milk to get him in that tank...on a plane!

Isn't Jessica Biel meant to be a General, or something?

Charlotte Tur'enne
Jan 13th, 2010, 02:33:29 PM
In true A-Team fashion she better be the "General's Daughter" that is in trouble and nothing more. >:

Dashiel Starborn
Jan 13th, 2010, 02:34:51 PM
I anticipate she'll be as much of a General as Denise Richards was a nuclear physicist :P

She is a Lieutenant or something she is under Colonel Lynch who is played by Patrick Wilson.

Oh, thank goodness. Where the hell did I get that General thing from? :\

I saw it yesterday and really liked it. I thought Sharlto Copley stole the movie. He was hilarious as Murdock. I thought it followed the tv series very well, although it was more of a prequel found it amusing that Morrison was one of the bad guys

Me and the gf loved it Carr, and this kinda thing wasn't her usual cup of tea. The humor was great and we both loved Murdock <3

Well, I don't know why people who didn't like the tv show would want to go see a movie based on it. :p

Digging up this thread, to say yeah, loved it. It was way better than I expected :)

The best part? All the elderly people who were in the theater!
