Most of last week's games had clear favorites - things don't look so clear this week, especially after some surprising performances. Get those picks in!

OMG... There are a ton of games I didn't want to pick. This week could be interesting. And how did Denver get lucky enough to start the season against CIN and CLE back to back?

A few surprises so far... The Jets are leading the Pats 10-9, and the Lions are leading the Vikes 10-7. The Texans are playing the Titans hard, and it's tied at 24 at halftime... Aside from two Carson Palmer interceptions, one of them a pick-6, the Bengals are outplaying the Packers, but it's tied there as well at 21.
The Falcons are looking sharp in their throwback uniforms with the black jerseys and red helmets.
A wonderful gem of commentary from the Texans-Titans game:
Gus Johnson: "Of course, Matt Schaub injured his ankle in the preseason against Minnesota."
Steve Tasker: "Yeah, and I'll give you three guesses which ankle that is."

Holy cow, this Texans-Titans game is getting intense! This rivalry just might be ratcheting up to a whole new level!
EDIT: Still tied at 31... there was a big scuffle on the Texans sideline that resulted in personal fouls on both teams and one of the Titans defenders getting ejected for throwing a punch. What a game!
And in other news, the Jets just upset the Patriots 16-9! Incredible job by Rex Ryan's new defense!
Meanwhile, the Raiders just beat the Chiefs on a late touchdown drive! Good grief, the Chiefs were just involved in a shootout with the Ravens, and the Raiders held them to 10 points. This is a crazy week so far!

Lord do I hate Dierdorf as an announcer, horrible announcing Job in the Pats vs Jets game....also nice to see lots of mugging in the secondary with no calls.

Incredible game by the Texans! Can't wait to see the rematch.
The Bengals also just upset the Packers - just barely, too! The Bengals had a 10-point lead late in the game and went into prevent defense. That gave the Packers the opportunity to get quickly into FG range, and Mike McCarthy very astutely kicked the field goal with 1:11 left to save time. They then recovered the onside kick and drove all the way to the Bengals' 10, but they just ran out of time and committed a false start on the line. Now that's a close shave.

Oh Byron Byron...
EDIT: Jackson with the fumble when it looks like the Bills will extend their lead, Piscatelli recovers and runs it back into Bills territory, then Byron fires it into Cadillac Willams to close the Bills lead to 20-14.

Big run by Rashard Mendenhall sets up a 1st and goal for the Steelers!
Which sets up a touchdown bootleg by Ben with a nifty leap over Daniel Manning! Steelers lead it, 14-7.
It's looking grim for the Seahawks... they've given up touchdown runs of 79 and 80 yards to Frank Gore, and Matt Hasselebeck is out of the game.
ARGH, the Steelers really gave that game away. :(

Well, my picks sucked for this weekend, but it looks like other people's did too, so now I don't feel so crummy ;).
Most of my losses were due to upsets, the only pick I made that I simply can't figure out was picking Jacksonville over Arizona. I must've had a brain fart or something. :lol

To be fair, Arizona looked horrid last week and Jax should have had their way with them. Arizona just woke up, apparently.
Go Bills! It wasn't pretty, but we'll take the win. Should be 2-0, though... :grumble

They just put up the time of possession stat with 5:11 left in the game. We've played nearly 55 minutes of football, and Indianapolis hasn't had the ball for 15 yet. This is an incredible game of possession football the Dolphins are playing.
The Dolphins are now lining up for a 45-yard field goal to take the lead... Straight down the uprights! Now the defense has to see if they can hold the Colts offense down for another 3:44.
What a crazy week of football!
EDIT: The answer is... no, the Dolphins can't hold the Colts down. But good thing for them Manning struck so quickly, because they're going to need that remaining three minutes to drive down and take the lead again.
EDIT: Correction. They need a whole minute and eleven seconds to get themselves into a 3rd and 4. Good grief, who was in charge of clock-management for the Dolphins there, Mike Holmgren?
Spectacular scramble and pass by Pennington was wasted by a Ted Ginn drop. Dolphins racing to clock the ball and will have one more snap...
And it's picked in the endzone, game over! Sheez, what a game! The Colts finished with 14:53 of possession in the whole game. I wonder if that's a record low for a winning team...

Well, Rutabaga complained that she didn't know what she was thinking when she picked Jacksonville... despite the fact that she actually picked Arizona. ;)
Incidentally, I was just thinking what a rough start the Titans have had, kicking off the season by playing at the defending champs, then taking a tough division loss at home... Unbelievably, it only gets worse. Next week, they're traveling to New York to play the Jets, who have the league's top defense after facing the Patriots and the Texans (who just shelled the Titans to the tune of 420 yards and 34 points). Then they play at Jacksonville, then they host the Colts, and then they travel to New England before getting their bye. Jacksonville should be a solid win, but I thought the same thing about the Texans after how they looked in week one. Even if Tennessee wins two of those four, that'll put them at 2-4 heading into their bye, and if they lose to the Jets (which I think is the hardest of those games), they're already at 0-3.
