The whole Dragon*Con and meetup thing has really reignited my desire to roleplay with you folks. In the interest of doign just that, I offer a few characters for all your crazy storyline needs.
The first three are old characters being brought back. Anton and Kyp Grenples are a pair of brothers that run their own small, struggling custom droid shop. With Anton providing the technical know-how and Kyp being the face of the company and handling all the customer relations, they are available for scratch-built droids, built to the customer's specifications, as well as repairs or modifications (legal or not-so-legal) to exisiting droids. They can also handle more mundane tasks such as routine maintenance and memory wipes for a very reasonable price (anythything to pay the rent).
Anton is incredibly technically gifted (with an undiagnosed Force potential), but is horrible with people. He tends to be overly trusting. Kyp is the embodiment of a greasy used-car salesman. He's a smooth talker and charming, but after leaving, you tend to feel a little dirty having been around him. He's very opportunistic and is known to get involved in risky ventures for the sake of making a quick buck. T'kreet is a jawa associate of their's. He is a bit of an outcast from his clan, and has a wide web of contacts and suppliers, allowing him to procure just about anything in a short amount of time. Depending on the danger involved, the rarity of the product, or how many favors he needs to call in, the price can be dirt cheap or wildly exorbitant.
In addition, I'm throwing into the ring a brand new Devaronian character:
Mathus Moerro - Freelance Peacekeeping Agent
Repurposing aspects of my old dark jedi, Mathus was a child of privilege who spent his youth thrill-seeking. As a result of his dangerous behavior, his face is horribly scarred from seperate incidents of an acid burn and a vicious animal attack. His frightening appearance belies his upbeat attitude and friendly personality.
For generations, his family owned and administrated an interstellar shipping company. Through a series of events, his father lost the controlling interest in the company and was forced out. Shortly afterwards, he died, leaving his family with a substantial personal fortune. Needing to find a purpose in his life, Mathus became enamored with folk tales of the old days, when jedi roamed the universe, dispensing justice. With ample mony and time at his disposal, he has taken it upon himself to follow in their footsteps, righting wrongs wherever they may be found.
Bounty hunter, body guard, financier, he wears many hats. He's a bit delusional, seeing himself almost as a super hero. That's not to say he's not skilled. He has a keen mind, plenty of courage, and a fair amount of skill with a vibroblade and a sporting pistol, thanks to instructions in some of the more high class pursuits such as fencing when he was growing up. He longs for a romanticised version of the "good ol' days", when everyone was polite and men engaged in honorable combat to settle differences.
I'm thinking furiously, trying to come up with some engaging storylines for any of the four, but if anyone thinks they might fit in something you're doing, please let me know. I'd love to jump right back into the deep end.
