I am just about to watch this (at last). Has anyone else seen it? What did you think?

EDIT:

Progress reports arriving. The farms of Aerolon are burning. The beaches of Canceron are burning. The plains of Leonis are burning. The jungles of Scorpia are burning. The pastures of Tauron are burning. The harbors of Picon are burning. The cities of Caprica are burning. The oceans of Aquaria are burning. The courthouses of Libran are burning. The forests of Virgon are burning...

The Colonies of Man lie trampled at our feet.

Well, that was a peculiar insight into the BSG universe. For those who haven't seen it, The Plan follows the initial destruction of the Colonies up until the point when the Cavill's declare a "truce" between Cylon's and humanity. We get to see stuff that was previously "off screen", such as when Boomer blacks out and attempts to destroy Galactica's water tanks / shoots Adama. It's interesting to see how even at this early stage in the conquest of the Colonies, the majority of the models are malfunctioning in some way.

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that it wasn't exactly thrilling, since we already know how the story goes. There were some funny moments at least, and some unexpected insights into how the Cylon models were essentially failing to do their duty from the moment the destruction of the Colonies failed.

I thought it was on par with some of the best of BSG. Only the finale of the series was better in my view. What made it interesting was the cylon perspective of the story. The real star of the The Plan was Cavil (number one) stabbing that kid. He makes the other cylons look like saints in comparison. Utterly incapable of feeling remorse, and completely apathetic to everything really. As someone else mentioned to me, for the Cavils, "dying or killing must be as exciting as watching the weather report".

Cavil was definitely the star of the show. It seemed like he was the only skin-job who came close to being truly robotic and unlike the humans. All the others had some sin they were guilty of, or some weakness.

BTW Cavil kissing Boomer / Six threatening to make Cavil hum? ...Auuughhh :x
