You know when you type in a URL that no longer exists or mistype one, and you are served up the default "page not found" page. Well starting a couple of days ago, users in North America starting getting redirected to an ad-enriched 'helper page' that provided suggested pages based on buzzwords parsed from the URL attempt.

Yes, that nonsense all over again. Whatever happened to 'net neutrality'? :P

Well, you may opt-out of the service by visiting this page:

https://dns-opt-out.comcast.net/

Bother.

Or use OpenDNS. OpenDNS also refuses to resolve known spyware sites.

SECDNS avoids this issue but Comsat wont have this implimented.
