If you ever find yourself in a post-apocalyptic future, and have a MacGuffin you desperately need protected, Denzel Washington is definitely your guy. In the Hughes Brothers' Book of Eli, Washington plays some sort of badass meandering the war-ravaged world with his titular book, beating the living hell out of anyone who tries to take his tome.

The trailer doesn't specifically lay out what exactly the "Book of Eli" is, but I'm assuming it's the Bible, a Twilight, or a Dan Brown (our greatest books):

Some of that looked sooo similar to the landscape in Fallout 3!

Looks pretty cool though. Denzel is a badass.

Holy crap!

It does look a lot like Fallout 3! :o Even the guy with the goggles looks like one of the Raiders from The Capital Wasteland

Looks pretty good though

You know...I hate being like that (just because the game has sucked me in) but it does look similar. Even that fight scene in the building brought up instant memories of the various museums. :lol

And apparently...

We're not alone (http://www.examiner.com/x-11903-Newark-PC-Game-Examiner~y2009m7d29-Is-The-Book-of-Eli-the-unofficial-Fallout-movie) in that connection.

Now...to put all my wonderful Fallout 3 mojo aside and actually look at the film...

I like the atmosphere! and....My adoration for Gary Oldman means I probably will be seeing this... though might be waiting for DVD since I'm uber picky about what movies I go see in the theater nowadays.

I don't know what's wrong with it looking like Fallout?

Honestly? Nothing.
It's just kinda a fun coincidence, I'm betting.

...But it does make me want to see Liam Neeson randomly appear in the movie and punch a giant scorpion. :lol

lmao

Yup, nothing necessarily wrong with it. Just a strange coincidence, is all. Not a bad one, by any means.

I'm thinking there's only so much you can do with a post-apocalyptic world. I mean, they all start looking similar after a while. ;)

I guess so! It was just funny to see some shots in that trailer which were so remarkably similar to scenery in Fallout 3, in a "Wait, haven't I been there before... o_O" kinda way :lol

Hopefully that just means this movie will rock as much as Fallout 3 does!
