No taxation without representation! Give me liberty, or give me death!

To all you Americans out there, happy Independence Day! I pray that you actually understand what things like freedom and liberty mean, because far too many have forgotten.

Spend time with family and friends, and rejoice that you are free!

AWWWW HELL NAW

Today...we declare...OUR INDEPENDENCE DAY! :lol

Cheesy as hell, but I still love it. So sue me. :p

Reminds me of the tweet from Brent Spiner I saw at Twitter this morning:

Watching ID4 on DVD. Showed it to Spiner in the mirror. He pressed himself against the glass and said, "release me." Huh...my face hurts.

:lol

And on a much more serious note, if people here have not seen the John Adams miniseries that CMJ posted the clip from, SEE IT NOW. It is simply brilliant.

edit: That John Adams' clip is fantastic. :) *swells with pride*

I spent my independence day talking to a Korean war veteran about history and the critical situation the United States now finds itself in.

I've never had so much fun before. He was amazingly perceptive and had such great opinions and insights.

Mainly just watch other things blow up. =)

Nothing spectacular.

But lighting off roman candles and bottle rockets and watching my mother be drunk and giddy over it was pretty awesome in itself.

Just a few months until we get to blow a load of stuff up, to celebrate the fact that someone else failed to blow something up hundreds of years ago! :D:thumbup

Bottle Rockets, and anything that jumps around or makes a lot of noise is banned in my county. All I did was set off a few smoke bombs and a couple of things that set of a spark display.

Same here.

We spent the 4th over in Vancouver, WA where everything is nice and legal and we blew up some impressive mortars! Owen even had his first sparkler (got some great pics!).
