Right now we are in the middle of Nerf War I. Fun times, but posting might get dangerous :ohno

Though it was fun watching Liz get stuck beside the bed.

I take full responsibility for this event!

That was incredibly funny. >=)

Though my favorite Liz moment was the time travel at the dinner table at the Chicken and Waffle house. :D

Wow! What a blast Dragon*Con was! I'm so glad we finally made the time to meet most of you at the dealer's room. Sam and I took tons of pics so we should have most of them uploaded at our imageshack account. We'll provide the link once that is done.

Morgan, a pleasure hanging out with you on Thursday night. Voltaire was awesome. Sorry your eyes were bugging you for being up so late.

Miranda, Charley, Vega, same as well. I know I met more of you but your handles and real names escape me again. Just a shame we never could get coordinated to meet Lilaena, but maybe next time.

I hope you all enjoyed Atlanta. We'll definitely be there for D*C 2010, so count us in again.

Now to check out the pics Lilaena linked. I hope con depression hasn't got a hold on you guys/gals too much.

Lilaena, what panel was that long line for? I stood in the same location in line on Sunday for the Masquerade.

And oh, we have a few things posted on our D*C thread on Epics as well. Come check them out!

Awesome week everyone!

I am now sitting at Newark airport waiting for flight to Stockholm.

Will post thoughts and photos when I get back home to Oslo on saturday.

Wishing our travelling buddies luck and safe journeys as they head home.

Me, I'm eating fantastic tofu and swearing off alcohol for a day or two.

I'm now in Tampa, and am still in shock at the whole event. I haven't felt this sort of satisfaction at having done something in years.

This was fan-fucking-tastic.

I know there is interest in a potential meet-up sometime next year, be it at DragonCon or otherwise. I will put something up when I get back to start the planning process.

In the meantime, just remember that I think you guys are all totally awesome.

Back at home now and I am still blown away at how utterly awesome everyone was. I expected I'd have a good time, but wow.

Also, my extended airport time flew by, reading Watchmen. Good book, that Watchmen.

Word, brother.

We miss you guys so much! Thankfully we're making delicious pizza tonight and going out for Indian food tomorrow night before Tattoo Day, so we'll have full bellies and lots of booze to help ease the pain. ;)

But I thought Charley was laying off the booze? :p

As I landed in Chicago, a few happy tears (That I told Jen about already) were shed. Not really from sadness, but from utter bliss as to what an amazing week I shared with all of you.

I miss you guys. You were all dear to me as my friends to begin with, now you hold special places in my heart as the internet went poof and you I was surrounded by all of you :love

We MUST do something next year together! And of course I must find ways to sneak out to people for like a weekend. My friends are tooooo faaaaaar now.....

Next year should be a Savannah GA meet-up. That way I just have to drive like 20 min instead of 4 1/2 hours. =p

I had a lot of fun! Wish I could have spent more time with you guys. Being 7 months pregnant certainly took its toll on me, physically and emotionally. I hope I wasn't too hormonal for those who did hang out with me. :ohno

I am willing/would like to host a meet up at my house next summer, coordinated with a con, or PAX, or whatever/nothing. We have booze and tents and can accommodate just about anyone/everyone. Plus I wouldn't have to uproot my kids. ;) Just a thought to throw out there. We're planning on going to ComicCon next year so if we did a meet at that con then we could road trip it up to Portland and everyone could fly out of our airport.

No, I haven't been thinking about this much. :mischief Again, had a great time and thank you to everyone for not being axe murderers. :)

This is how I felt, but then I watched the videos of everyone on my camera and it made me feel better :)

I'm going to probably cry more cos I miss everyone though. Work is going to suck tomorrow (well, today technically).

All flights went well. I had some terrible jet lag though. Traveling by train from Stockholm to Oslo tomorrow. Will post update when home. :)

This morning, after resting for a week with nothing to do, my car took me to work. I found the aggression of my driving (e.g., accelerating from stop lights, turning, etc., not cutting people off) has at least doubled.

I place all blame squarely on Morgan's shoulders.

Must concede, the Irish car bomb did not help one single bit.. :)

You have small children! Why would you expose them to our drunken mania?

I don't know if I want to do a Con again, but I am very much behind the idea of crashing at someones house - or renting a house - and hosting Return of the Scorpion King.

IF we do a Con again, I think I'd do a million times better if we got a hotel that was closer. Only because then I could go back there if I felt overwhelmed, and I wouldn't be 20 minutes away from you all. :(

Crashing at someones house would be more fun though. My mum has offered to help me find a time-share so we'd have a place to stay (Tahoe is out, because they're using it to go to Vegas this year).

San Diego to Portland is a hefty 17 hour drive. Seventeen hours of not drinking... :uhoh

^ Holy shit >_<

Like I said, I can probably find a time-share if we don't want to do a Con next year. And I prefer some place that's warm if we do it in the fall again. I freeze my ass off enough when I'm at home.

If we were to just do a meet-up and hang out for a week or so, it's possible we could do it at my mom's.

It'd be warm, but not humid warm. Since she's so high up in the mountains it's a dry heat. She's got 14 acres, horses, awesome sunbathing real estate, and she appreciates wines and spirits just like us fine ladies and gents of high society ;)

She's also a Bowen therapist so she might be persuaded to work on anyone who wants it.

^ Didn't we all say "Hi" to her one night over the phone? :lol

All I know is at this point I'm not sure I could afford the entire convention/hangout package next year... but certainly the hangout can happen and if the price is right...I'm so there :)

Your mums would be awesome :D Horseys!

And I'm with Em on the whole affording a plane ticket thing. I spent less money than I thought I would while I was there, but it's going to take a while for me to be in a position to go away again.

Horseys? :eee

We talking fall / winter this time around? Its probably gonna involve working my ass off to get the money together, but I should be able to scrape together enough to get out there and meet you guys... once I find somewhere that actually has job openings. Been idly plugging in destinations in the US to see how much the air fare is, and if we're not doing the whole con side of things, it should (hopefully) be achievable.

My 2 cents.

I don't care where it is next year, but timing is an issue, as I can really only get away from work from about mid June to Labour day weekend (when it doesn't fall late).

Fall is definitely out though.

I don't care when it is, but it can't be like....any time soon because people need to save up money. Something between july-october would be fine with me, cos then I could save up/be broke for most of the year so I can afford to go away.

Gods, I am *so* there...wherever it is :)

The earlier I know, tho, the better - so I can stake my claim on time off (I work in a small office & there's practically fist-fights when people want to take a vacation :p)

Going through all the pics and posting them today makes me miss you guys even more than I did when I left on Tuesday :(

Well, even taking the con out of the picture, I'm more than happy to play hostess to a group of crazy people next summer. :) Plus there's like, things to do in Portland... and public transportation to go do it.

Like going to the zoo one day. Or taking a drive to the beach and having a bonfire.

And in the summer we have great weather.
