I'm a huge fan of the GH and RB series. I'm more like a junkie actually, totally addicted and thanks to the DLC it just never gets old.

This though...holy crap!

Just wow...it's left me speechless.

The Opening (http://www.thebeatlesrockband.com/cinematic.php) of the game

The official trailer (http://www.thebeatlesrockband.com/trailer.php)

And a bit of a hands on preview

I need to like get this...and somehow make my mom play it with me. lmao.

Admittedly though I was more excited about this when I first heard about it than I am now...mainly because the stuff I really enjoy playing on RB tends to be more...lame 80s anthems than anything else. :p

That being said, will still get it...don't know about buying more damn fake plastic instruments though. Already have to keep telling myself no on the stupid Fender Bass controller.

Though I do get the feeling this one will end up on the shelf far more than RB2 simply for the fact that I like playing a giant variety of stuff with friends with silly custom characters for the most part. *shrug*

holy crap. I just have time to watch the opening cinematic, but that was soooo good. I love the art style, the nods to the Hard Days Night movie, everything about it. What an awesome introduction!

I heard they were going to change the name to 'The Beatles' with 'Rock Band' as the sub-title. That'd be cool.

It seems that way from the main website URL :)

EDIT: Just had a chance to watch the other two videos... the new custom instruments look really nice. It's really cool that you travel through the bands career, and the psychadelic-style visual stuff they have going on for songs like "I Am The Eggman" is really nifty too! In fact, all of the visuals just look spot on. I wish I had an Xbox!

I'll be getting this for the PS3 with any cash I get for my birthday next week.

I simply adore that opening video.

The custom instruments will likely have to wait, but I'll get them eventually.

Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?!?! SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE?!?!?!

*points*

I do wonder if there are mods to use real instruments, though. Should be possible to hook something up to the bridge and encode using one of their cheap controllers... hmmm Might not have fast enough of a response compared to a digital control, though. I already have guitars at home in my collection that are very suitable to a Beatles set. ;) Such a geek.

EDIT:

Ughh, I see the set up needs to be able to capture fret and whammy motion as well, of course...too complicated a rig would be needed to use on a real guitar and still have it playable. That's kind of nice that it actually captures those nuances compared to earlier such type controllers I've seen before, though. Makes me really want to try it out for feel...

Amazing, amazing game!

I'm going to start with the bad, which is outweighed in great measure by the good.

Extremely short game, I was complaining about Batman's Arkham Asylum? This one takes first place, hands down! When you take in mind though that it's 45 songs and in average a Beatles song lasts about 2 and a half minutes (save for I Want You So Bad (She's So Heavy)), well you get the idea. Sad that I finished it in one day.

Beatlemania (Overdrive/Star Power) can make some white notes hard to see, which wasn't the case with the other Rock Bands, so that's a bit of a disappointment.

Extremely long credits, probably longest I've ever seen. Ok, maybe not, but it gives you an idea of the nightmare that was licensing and why the game is short.

I've never been so distracted by a Guitar Hero or Rock Band's background as I was with this one, but that's actually a good thing. The well is so well crafted that you'll want to watch the Beatles and those awesome graphics that they managed to create.

The ambiance of the game is simply unmatched, they managed to recreate the career of the Fab Four beatifuly, from their days in The Cavern to the Rooftop Concert, going thru Shea Stadium and Budokan.

The essence of the band is captured in every stage where they play, be it Giant Stadium or the trips in Abbey Road Studios.

The sound is unbelievably crisp and the remastered and redigitalized tracks make the soundtrack all it ought to be.

Thank God for the DLC that'll be coming in the coming months! I can't wait, albeit a short game, I'll be coming back for more and more and more! Hopefully with more tracks, there'll be more achievements, which in itself can give you more to play for.

Love the fact that the achievements are in the main menu and you can see how you're doing to unlock each (I imagine the same goes for the PS3's trophies, sorry Wii, no love for you though).

Brilliant, brilliant game!

All I know is when I tried to play drums on Rock Band, I realized I couldn't play them like well...real drums.

Oops.

I picked the game up yesterday as part of my "recoup from D*C" and I'm just...loving it :D

OH MY GOD you have no idea. lol I've almost failed out of a few songs thanks to this! :lol The "touring" part of the game wasn't so bad screaming fangirls got kinda boring so I could actually pay attention to the notes and such...But then I got to the Abbey Road era and had a total fit the first time they went from studio into acid trip funland. I need to watch someone else play this game so I can fully appreciate the backgrounds.

edit: Holy shortness, Batman O_o
There's a ton of songs I think could have been included (guessing they'll be in DLCs) but just...wow. I think I beat the storyline in about 4 and a half hours? Give or take... I think Portal took me longer the first time around. Kinda find that to be a bit disappointing, really. VERY enjoyable game, but just...uber short.
