Roleplaying in the past? teh clone wars

After seeing a number of threads that are set in the past, just prior to the Jedi Purge... I have a question and/or a request.

Since my character(and her student) have lived at the time of the Great Jedi Purge and Clone Wars alike, I would like to ask if it is possible for me and him to have a series of threads set in that time. It would do wonders for our character development and let us establish a connection between the two.

I promise there will be no grand imagery, no ''Tionne Thanewulf slays a thousand droids with just her snide gaze''. All would be within limits set by common sense, minor NPC referrals to cannon characters.

Would this be acceptable?

The Shadows of the Republic threads are all set to be memories - they all start as one (I think) being remembered by one of the people on here.

As far as I know there aren't any restrictions to what kind of canon characters show up in them, as long as they're NPCed and don't play too big a part. Obviously, the Jedi Order can't be played without having at least some Council member around, but other than that we've simply got our own characters peopling it.

Actually, feel free to jump into the existing open ones (like the Beginning of the End thread). And if either of you were young enough to have been a youngling - well, the younglings thread is begging for more input, too.

I think all we agreed on is that each thread dating before the Purge be called "Shadows of the Republic:" followed by the title of your choice.

Giving your thread a specific 'era' based title isn't totally necessary, as long as you put some clarification in the first post that it is set in the past :)

Anyway... you know the rules ;): common sense, and let us know if you involve any canon characters. Otherwise, just have fun!
