I am wearing shorts and sun-tan lotion.

Actually my shoulders are kind of burnt.

IN BRITAIN.

Some kind of.. twilight zonery at work here. Please make sure that this has been fixed by September.

I also ate half a watermelon. It made me think of Liz. :3

I dare you to eat the other half!

Dasquian Belargic
May 24th, 2009, 11:46:19 AM
Don't you know what happens if you eat a WHOLE watermelon in one day? :colbert

A baby watermelon will start growing inside you? Or is that only if you eat the seeds...

Dasquian Belargic
May 24th, 2009, 11:51:26 AM
I ate all of the seeds.

Now I am feeding them with cider.

Oh shi

May 24th, 2009, 11:53:14 AM
Holy shit, I bet you're gonna have like, 13 watermelon babies sprouting in your belly by the time you get out here. Don't you know that feeding them with cider is like giving them miracle-grow???

Dasquian Belargic

But I'm not ready to be a parent ;____;

Haha, are you in pre-season training for the south? Shorts, sunburns, watermelons? All you need now is some corn-fried catfish, oysters, collard greens, sweet corn, fried chicken, coconut cake, and a pitcher of iced tea.

Loklorien s'Ilancy
May 24th, 2009, 11:58:38 AM
^Don't forget the frog-legs.

Well, it's not really the worst type of baby you could have. Thank your lucky stars it's not a pineapple baby :)

Dasquian Belargic
May 24th, 2009, 11:59:52 AM
Oh man I would love some corn on the cob right now.

Frog-legs? :|

Eluna Thals

Frog legs, crawfish etouffee, pan-blackened alligator, chicken fried chicken, chicken fried steak, chicken fried possum, squirrel, chitlins, tripe, chicken fried chicken livers, okra, black eyed peas and slab bacon, buttermilk biscuits and Roddenberry's Cane Patch syrup, sage griddle sausage, hash browns, stone-ground grits.

Shall we continue?

Frog-legs? :|

It's about like chicken wings. Generally tasty. Probably would eat em with Remoulade dressing or brined pepper sauce.

Ahh so things are as bad in the UK as here then? This morning I left the house dressed warmly cos it was actually cool and looked like rain... drove to a castle, went inside, took a tour for half an hour, came out: damn! 30 degrees and no cloud in sight, and I start sweating like crazy... ick....

Dasquian Belargic
May 25th, 2009, 03:25:45 AM
I thought maybe me posting about this would jinx the weather, but I've just woken up to see that it is still sunny ootside. :o

Yeah, here too. Although if I look out of the window to the west, there are a bunch of dark clouds. Might have a thunderstorm soonish.... oh well....

Muahaha my nefarious Pavlovian plot is almost complete; all that remains is to see if you taste watermelon and drool when we meet in person.

U GOT MELON BEBES IN UR TUMMEH. :o

Pretty much typical Florida summer pattern. Rains in the afternoon, nice skies all day otherwise, badass thunderstorms every day.

Also hot and humid, is sauna.

We're back to hot and humid now, too. Even though it's already half past 10 at night.

It's not fair....

Thank you.

Excuse me but lol if you think East Coast USA = hot and humid. Florida only gets close to serious hot and humid.

Excuse me but lol.

Oh don't I know it... but I swear, I had less problems with the FL heat and humidity than the same over here. It's a different kind of quality, I'm sure.

I'm not complaining yet at all because the weather has been very mild so far, with highs of about 30 C, but I know I'll be hating life and the media will be lying come mid June/July/August. They say it's 35 C sometimes but it's really much closer to 42 or more and it doesn't cool off at night, maybe 29 C.

Depends on the year, but the heat doesn't break until mid/late November sometimes, and sometimes October rolls around and everything is ok. The last few years have been good to us, so October comes around and you can walk around outside without wishing death at everything.

I also am happy I'm less than 10 miles from the coast. You start going further inland to say, Orlando/Gainsville or the podunk farming towns south of the lake and it's unreal.

Back to fairly bland weather at the minute here... about 13 C and cloudy.

Supposed to be a sunny weekend again, although possibly not shorts and sunburns weather sadly!

Summer got here officially about two/three weeks ago. :smokin
Shorts and sandals all the way from here on in through September.

Been sunny and awesome and beautiful and a touch on the warm side every so often but that's what the beach is for.
Highest humidity is in the mornings when the fog rolls in off the ocean in the mornings but that clears right up, generally.

It'll actually get "hot" here in another week or two (where it'll start lingering in the 90s-F)...but again...that's what the beach is for. lol

As much as I hate southern california some days....weather = best. Yup. lol

Which means at work it's about ten times worse.

I think summer started to arrive sometime in the past couple days. It was nice and warm today. :D

Of course, I'm inside all day working. o_O One more day until the weekend and if it's raining this weekend I just might scream bloody murder.

Fucking sun. How do you *always* manage to shine in my eyes and wake me up in the morning. I don't want to be conscious at 4am, damn it! :x

That said, the weather seems pretty optimistic this morning; sun is shining like it things it'll manage it all day. We'll see. I'm cracking out the bermuda shorts and hawaiian shirt; my bare legs are usually enough to scare any amount of sunshine away. Mwahahahaha. >D

Bring on the rain! I'm sick of this stuffy heat!

We're over two weeks now without a drop. This is getting ridiculous. We're technically in the subtropics. We should have rain every day, and usually do.

Even with the rain, it still feels really.. oppresive and close.

Looks like the south is getting no rain at all though. Haha.

Good news: Got some rain after a two week dry spell.

Bad news: Gusts broke my tomato plant.

:::picks up the scattered pieces of his weather control device (so as to bring fear and panic, escalating to chaos and finally wearied submission to my worldly whims of world domination and control) and dumps them into a disused flowerpot, which he then covers with fresh potting soil.:::

Gotta grow a new one. :/

Almost 30 degrees last night, then it rained all night and this morning, but it's 9 am now and we're back to 25 degrees and sticky nasty humidity. The two grandchildren of the old woman in the villa next door are having fun in her giant pool... Right under our sweaty noses. How is that fair?
