The cruise liner, Luminescence, waits in the Corellian System for the last few shuttles and ships with passengers before it embarks. The ship makes month long voyages, hosting a wide variety of activities so that everyone, every age, every species can enjoy themselves from their renown casinos to the deck that is completely devoted to a safari-like environment. The cabins available range from Economy class accommodations, a small cubicle in which a person must lie down in order to get into, to the Premier class accommodations which was fit the going style of any royalty that might have, of which they usually did, to spend on it.

Having whichever accommodations does not include what privileges there were available on board though. An individual could have privileges ranking anywhere from Bronze to their new exclusive deal, Platinum, which was offered to distinguished guests only. Bronze, Silver, and Gold were the typical ranges most could afford. All three had access to the casinos but Bronze were limited to those and the observation decks. Silver had access to the recreation areas, which had... Well, recreation comes in many forms and none are to be discriminated against, at least that is what the company policy was. Gold status gave access to the upper luxury and designer decks as well as the museum on board.

The ship was massive, one of the larger of its make and the max capacity, which the business it held often tried to push to its limit, was approximately 7,000 passengers with a crew of 2,000 organic employees and a large number of robotic assistants. It was Corellian made and Corellian sponsored, having its own division of CorSec aboard that provided the security both internally and externally.

So if you're feeling lucky, and you need to take a break, come on down to the Corellia system where we, the crew of the Luminescence, are happily awaiting your arrival before we make our fabulous trip into the stars and make your stay with us the most memorable event of your life!

The data pad was gently set down at the small desk in the captain's quarters on board the Black Wyvern. The face of a Bothan smiled ridiculously, almost like a cartoon, at Grime which only served to aggravate him more.

"Captain..."

The vox beside the bed squawked the familiar dryness of Ithiel at the helm. Hawkins turned slightly, hissing through his teeth for moving, and flipping the switch.

"Go ahead."

"Sir, we're on board. The Luminescence has requested permission to come aboard and... greet us."

Hawkins breathed in as deeply as he could, regretting the impulse, and sighed painfully. They were not requesting. They wanted to scan the ship for contraband. It was there for sure but they would not find it.

"Granted. But they have ten minutes and we don't want to greet anyone. I want them in and out without a word."

"Yes sir."

The vox squawked as the channel was cut. Hawkins shifted, his metal encased arm reaching behind him to the body beneath the covers of his bed. His metal fingers traced the bare shoulder which shuddered at his touch. Not that he could appreciate the shudder. He was sure the metal was freezing to her skin but Grime's nerve endings were long dead and he was given no satisfaction or reciprocation but the remorse and utter dread of being deprived of anything that could even be remotely considered pleasure. He did not whisper but that was how it sounded as he almost spoke gently to the woman there.

"Valeria... My dearest vice..."

He stopped speaking abruptly though, something caught in his sensitive throat. He coughed out loud, his body seized in another episode of pain. His eyes glassed over and his gaze lost any remnant of tenderness there might have been as it brimmed with hatred for nothing in specific but for all reality in general. The coolness within the room faded quickly, replaced by an unnatural heat. Hawkins stood slowly, suddenly disregarding Valeria as he reached for the cloak and mantle to his exoskeleton.

"e'Drein..."

The vox squawked again in response.

"Yeah, Boss?"

"Get Averre to start up Kroma. I want her to go ahead and access the ship systems and start collecting the information we talked about. Make sure she has everything she needs."

"Right..."

"You're free to roam after that until I call for you, e'Drein."

"I'm on it, Boss."

The door to the captain's quarters opened and the hot air rushed in, nearly a cool breeze tried to replace it. He figured he might as well "greet" the inspection crew as it were.

Stillness pervaded, the silence of sleep shattered by an austere voice; habit, she knew, caused her to stir when he spoke. Her breathing remained even as she took in the verbal exchange between Ithiel and Hawkins, alerting her to the greeting party that would be arriving upon their vessel shortly. Her brows knit downward over stubbornly closed eyes briefly but were then thrust open as frigid fingers slid over her shoulder. Impulses rushed from the site of projection, causing her spine to shudder and her teeth to clench; there was no touch in the universe like his, she would have such caresses only for herself.

Valeria... My dearest vice...

The sincere hint of a smile tugging at her lips swiftly faded when he coughed, the force of it rattling the bed until he drifted away from the plush furniture. She sat up then, her lightning-hued gaze fixing upon his back as he moved toward the location of his cloak. Thick bangs cascaded down in a jagged fashion across her right eye and her cherry-ripened lips took up a pout as he began to leave the room. She swung her lithe legs over the edge of the bed and rose to her full height, nimbly sauntering over to where she had laid her own clothes out.

Her sharpened nails gingerly picked through the garments she had selected, first taking up the lacy black corset that would serve as her top. Panels of velvet dragged across her wrists as she affixed the alloy prongs to their hooks on the opposing side. She slid the straps up her arms, onto her shoulders, and then glided into the layered ebony skirt; rich fabric of gray and violet were displayed underneath, visible through the tapered slit that ended at mid-thigh. Next, her boots were adorned and she was on her way; giving no thought to the abundance of raven-sheen tresses that floated about her upper half.

The CorSec officer stood behind and to the left of the smiling crew member, wearing some ridiculous get up and smiling like a fool. Grime was enjoying the thought that in good time the lot of this crew and their flamboyance would be nothing more than a reflection in coagulated puddles of their own blood. He stepped down the ramp to meet the two individuals, his metal feet clanging against the boarding ramp of the Wyvern with a dull noise. His cloak fluttered with the wind of other incoming vessels, the latecomers seemed rushed, as they should be. It was only hours away from departure.

"Mr... Grime, I take it. I just wanted to say again..."

"Don't..."

The crew member stuttered and made a double take, trying to avoid Hawkins' eyes. The CorSec agent stepped forward almost relieved to have someone who seemed to want to work around all the frilly nonsense and pleasantries.

"Sir, we need to scan your ship, standard protocol."

Grime's porcelain face contorted into an awkward smile that made the crew member turn his face away altogether.

"But of course, officer. Your... professionalism insinuates that I won't need to ask that you and your men be respectful to my crew and the property on board."

"Yes Sir."

"Then proceed."

The last bit slipped through grinding teeth as he took a step forward involuntarily, stifling another series of coughing fits in his throat. He turned away, bent over slightly, covering his face with his arm as he could not hold it back any longer.

Through his peripheral, he saw the crew member of the Luminescence stumble away in the opposite direction while the CorSec agent took a few steps backwards. Grime wanted to burn them where they stood. Melt them into puddles of bubbling flesh and watch their charred bones protrude from flesh that fell apart like heated plastic. Blood splattered on the length of his arm and eventually the fits ceased.

The CorSec agent had already instructed his team and the scanning equipment was being readied to load on board.

"Officer..."

"Yes, Sir?"

"You have 15 minutes."

Grime and Valeria were in the Casino when the announcement came on over the intercoms.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we would like to welcome you again on board the Luminescence. This is your Captain, Captain Seafinn, and I am glad to announce that our trip has now begun. We will be going to hyperspeed soon so everyone just sit back and enjoy the ride. I, on behalf of myself and my crew, hope you have a wonderful stay on board the Luminescence.

Grime shifted slightly at the Sabaac table with Valeria sitting in his lap. With his emotionless face and her on his knee as an ample distraction for anyone attracted to voluptuously beautiful females that had no regard for puritan modesty, which meant everyone. His hand rested on her back, the metal finger tips pointlessly playing with a curl of her hair for effect. Pointless only because it reciprocated no value to Grime whatsoever, that kind of pointless. But even his damaged senses could tell that at this close proximity she was the best thing he could smell beyond the permanent stench of burned flesh seared into his mind.

He laid down his cards on the table as the other six players did as well, coming out with the highest hand. He had been winning high but not in a row. Grime was a careful player and he folded quite a bit. The gambling was more a thing of numbers to him, like zeroing a scope. There was no luck in such a silly game; it was just a money making scheme in the long run anyways.

These things, not even Valeria, were the most immediate things in his mind. He was waiting for e'Drein to come find him and tell him that Averre had made it into the ship's internal network and retrieved the necessary passcodes.
