Survive 30 years on planet: check!

Phase 10 of my 59348058439 part master plan is complete!

Thanks guys. :) And Hera, mucho smooches for noticing.

Edit: Since it's my birthday, and I have had a little alcohol, I will share something my dad reminded me of at dinner tonight that those who know this character would get a kick out of.

When I was a kid, I was pretty bright. In fact, as a first-grader I apparently placed pretty high on some standardized testing. (I RULE AT COLORING INSIDE THE LINES BABY) My dad decided to do something fun for me because he was proud of me.

What he did, was pretend to be a leprechaun on Saint Patrick's Day.

I don't mean he dressed up like Santa or whatnot. No, my dad was more clever than that. He would leave rhyming notes written in caligraphic script on green construction paper where they would be easily found by yours truly. At first, I was skeptical. However, to prove his existence, the "leprechaun" had me leave an Oreo cookie outside on the doorstep with a note and a picture I drew of him. I went and did other things for awhile, and when I returned, I found another note and a GIANT Oreo! The leprechaun had taken my normal cookie and made it grow!

Of course I never saw the leprechaun, however he continued to leave me notes. One time, he even left little green ribbons that formed a trail into some woods nearby, where I found gifts from him (some toys that I no longer remember but that were awesome at the time. I want to say they were Thundercats figures). When we were about to move after I finished second grade, my biggest concern was not whether Santa would be able to find us, but whether the leprechaun would know I was gone.

I have, of course, saved all those notes in my mementos. Now here I am, 20-some-odd years later and it's still with me in the form of Hob.

I love my Dad. :)
