star trek is going to be a tough cookie...This movie could make from 20 million up to 65 or higher all depending on the WOM and the hype in the first few hours.

I think it will do 45 million at worse, but still 45-65 is a huge range.

So ok now everyone is trying to push his star trek vote higher than everyone else's vote. Is it too late to go up to 100M?

Feel free to go for it! Almost 5 hours to the deadline I think. :)

(I don't think it will go that high though)

Word is, it made about 7M in previews. Mind you, this is counting IMAX and they started about 7PM or so. Not to mention, Star Trek has its fanbase who rush to see it early.

Actuals....

1. Star Trek $75.20 M - Yog
2. Wolverine $26.41 M - Xavier
3. Ghosts of GP $10.26 M - Pode
4. Obsessed $6.56 M - tie between CMJ and Crusader? Can't remember if its 'closest without going over' or just closest.
5. 17 Again $2.32 M - Xavier

6. Next Day Air $4.11 M - FAIL
I think Xavier was the only one to put 17 Again in the top five, and everyone else fails for including Next Day Air. :) I'm not sure how to calculate the points, so I'll leave that to the big brains. ;)

Ha... I knew Next Day Air was going to fail...

I do regret putting Star Trek so low though, ah well.

OK about the tie, I had to take the full amount Obsessed made to figure it out. When I did that Crusader won by being a couple thousand dollar closer. Man was that close.

Sorry for making it so hard for you...I hate the fact that I changed my 73m for Star Trek into something around 80m. I should have sticked to my guts feeling without getting caught up in the hype. It is a good movie anyway!
