Well at the local Game/comic/manga/orgy-of-nerdery was giving out bags of free comics, artists drawing on request, cosplay competition, free food and drink, and 20% of anything in the store.

My gods it was heaven.

My comic shop didn't get their shipment. The owners are pissed about it, since this is the 2nd year in a row they were supposed to be participating but never got anything for it. They managed to dig up some stuff from 2007 and 2006 Free Comic Book Day, so I got something from TokyoPop and the comic book for the winner of "So You Want To Be A Superhero?" season 1.
