Anybody been watching this

I am glad they rescued him and showed those pirates we mean some business. Sounds like the President is making some serious threats against these pirates. Glad this was resolved like it was.

It had to be resolved like this. Anything that showed weakness, and the next four years would be bad for Americans.

I agree. Really have to wonder why this hasn't been done before.

I mean, sure, there's the possibility of escalation, and there are the threats this pirate leader is making ("Now we'll kill hostages instead of take captives")... but they're only in piracy because they think they can make money on it. And we're talking ransom, not selling the cargo. Who in that part of the world could possibly buy from them? And what company or government in the world will pay ransom on the cargo after they've executed the crew? They have literally nothing to gain from killing their captives, American or otherwise.

I figured the SEALS would be called upon to resolve the situation.

The whole situation is unfortunate, I feel.
