You can obviously name the Server and yourself anything you want :) You'll find the Settings button on the right hand side.

...mainly because Skype doesn't really like me for some odd reason. Then again, I can't get AIM file transfers/direct connect/etc to work either. They make the laptop have a ...seizure or something.

How do we do Vent?

Basically, we all have to download the Ventrilo program from here (http://www.ventrilo.com/). It's small and easy to use. Collectively, we would fund an independent Ventrilo server from Typefrag (http://www.typefrag.com/) or similar, and while the program can be run off a person's computer, it will limited in performance and availability due to timezones and bandwidth. Consequently, an independent server is the best option and the cost isn't too steep either:

25 user server: $10/month
35 user server: $14/month
50 user server: $20/month

Frankly, I'd be surprised if we needed to accomodate more than 25 users at a time. Anyway, I can't abide Skype and don't see myself using it in the future but it is free, and perhaps you can have more than three people in a conversation together, I only assumed you couldn't based on what had been said regarding drunken three-ways. As for Teamspeak, it works the same as Vent except the sound quality is appalling by comparison. Also, a SW-Fans Vent would be great for all us gamers to mock and gloat those not quite as uber as ourselves. Know what I mean?

My guild on WoW has a vent server, and I like it a lot more than TS2 or Skype, both of which I've used in the past.
