A few months had passed since her awakening. Besides the occasional fights and the somewhat flirting with random strangers, Eve hadn't really done anything meaningful with her ressucitation. Sitting on the edge of the tallest building within the city, her feet dangled in the air as her mind wandered into space. She hadn't seen nor recognized anybody that she had previously met or was attached to. Perhaps they assumed she was dead and moved on to other things, perhaps they were all dead themselves. Either way, she thought, it was better like this - no more attachments. The Empire had rendered her emotionally weak and dropped her like trash. She felt no desire to associate herself with anyone of her past.

"Ugh." She let herself moan, running her hands through her tied hair briefly before pushing her long ponytail to the side. She thought of those she called her family back then. One emerald-skinned, scarred. One blonde, powerful. Other sisters and brothers. An union that had turned bitter and ended with the bond broken, everyone off to do their own thing.

Then lovers. She thought of Dyne Darkforce and Daunte Aidan, two complete opposites that her body craved and her heart longed for. Dyne, the dark and mysterious Sith, had kept her content for quite some time. They were molded together into a predictable yet reliable relationship. They made an efficient and lethal team but their association was abruptly interrupted by Daunte.

"Tsk." She shook her head, scolding herself. "What the hell were you thinking ?" Since he was a powerful Sith, she could not conceal her disloyal thoughts from Dyne, thus breaking his trust and putting an end to their affair. For a while, Eve felt ashamed but the heart wanted what it wanted. The memory of Dyne walking out on her was sour, but the one of Daunte immediately comforted her. She wondered if he continued his journey, if he had given up when news of her death spread, if he had moved on and married someone else. That thought saddened her but she knew it was a possibility she couldn't hate him for.

An icy breeze made her shiver, crossing her arms to keep herself warmer. She brushed her cheek against the soft white-fur collar of her leather jacket brushed, not being able to hold back an insecure sigh. She couldn't even think about finding Daunte. He was probably much happier where he was, right now, with whoever. Probably even has a kid or two.

For him, she was probably just another mistake.

Damn.
