RIP, Natasha Richardson

Natasha Richardson, Tony award winning actress, daughter of Vanessa Redgrave, and wife of Star Wars alumnus Liam Neeson, has passed away from a head injury suffered when she slipped and fell on a Canadian ski slope 2 days ago.

I've had a major crush on Liam Neeson for nigh on 20 years, going back to the delightfully goofy Darkman and beyond. Everything I've ever read about him and Natasha has made it clear that this was a couple who truly loved and cherished each other, and were well-respected and well-liked by their peers. So this really is sad, sad news. :cry

Wow.. last I read reports on what had happened to her were mixed, from just a bump on the head to brain damage. How awful :(

Augh. I've been hearing about this...got the whole story on it this morning when she was just in serious condition. Very sad :( Very scary too considering when the accident first happened she was "okay" and then only started to complain about a headache and such almost an hour later before anyone realized something was seriously wrong. Poor dear...absolutely horrible for the family too.

This story made major headlines around here. It goes to show that any blow to the head, no matter how small should be examined. She was up, walking and talking after the fall. By the time her headache set in, it was too late.
