More snow!!
You guys know what that means, right? More pictures!
It's coming down quite a bit more heavily than it did last year, and I'm loving it. The front porch has snow all the way to where it meets the house, and I'm already psyching myself up for some 'sowboarding' down the dreaded black diamond that is my sideyard. Until then however, I'll be waxing my board, getting my gear on, and staring out the window like some moron.
Also in this year's Alabama Happy Fun Snow Spectacular edition, there will be a silly hat!

YES! This is pay-back for Charley saying it wasn't "wintery" enough when I was there...Not that you really mind the snow, but I came home to -20 degree weather and a million snow storms :mad
You actually have more snow there then we do here :)

That it's snowed once a year for the last two years is fantastic, but it makes me miss living up in the mountains.
I'm making Charley get warm clothes on so he can watch me have fun :D

Welp, the sun is sadly out and melting all the snow away, but we did get more pictures so as soon as they're off the camera I'll post them up.
I enjoy the area we're in, since it's close enough to civilization but far enough away to where there's not much if any noise going on about. We're in the middle of two horse barns, and in the summer you can't even see the road through the trees lining the front. The house itself is in a natural hollow, so it's sheltered from pretty much everything (except falling trees, but that's another story). When it rains, there's ditches further down the way along one side of the house, and so when days like last Friday happen and I had to drive through areas flooded completely, the house was perfectly fine and the only worry I had was keeping out of the mud in the driveway while walking to the house.

Let's get Charley onto a snowboard!

The board is sized for me, so it's a bit short for him.

And down he goes...
He actually did biff, but I wasn't quick enough on the draw to catch it with the camera. Oh well.

Charley's car. Notice the hood devoid of snow? It slid off since apparently his car is too fast for it to stick :p

My car on the other hand, has much slower reflexes.

I never saw the appeal of throwing snow at each other, but Charley loves doing just that for some reason.

Maybe that's why :\

Well, while you're here, we'll have to do just that! I don't have a porch swing for no reason :)

Due to being a big guy, I picked up a bit more speed than she did, and I was worried about speeding into a nearby thicket, so yeah ^_^;

give your car a snowhawk. We did that to Zeke's car last time it snowed. WE have snow in Macon, too.

Just for the record, Christin's porch swing is a terrifying device to anyone who isn't tiny. Potential visitors have been warned.
And I didn't get any good pics. I nearly got one of Hally (Black German Shepard) covered in snow, but she decided that her new white coat wasn't awesome enough before I could grab my cellphone =(
I also missed the opportunity to get a pic of my car (who has faster reflexes than charley's car, i might add) with its light little white blanket. The snow was cold, and the car is on the far side of the house =(

6"-7" was the last figure I heard on the news, but looking outside I think it's more than that now.

Yesterday...I did not envy the snow as the 75F clear sunny weather was enough to just make me the happiest person alive and remind me why I love living in this state....
However today with it being overcast, threatening rain (not actually doing it, sadly) and just kinda ick...I wouldn't mind if it actually got cold and snowed like I'm hearing about happening all over the east coast right now. So now...I can envy :p

We thought it was snowing yesterday evening, it was so cold with the wind chill factor, and was cloudy overhead. But nope, apparently it was ash from a wildfire up in the Dade City area.
It's still windy today, with a high of 71, after some showers yesterday morning ahead of that front.

It's a deep freeze in Toronto right now. So damn cold and windy outside, but no snowfall whatsoever.

I must confess to being like a silly nine-year-old and do want to so very much play in the snow.
And a big yes to the silly hat! (Though I admit that I might too cowardly to wear it in among those I don't know that well.)
Maybe if it looked like this, though...:

Cold and wet is fine, so long as you have a nice warm fire, a cup of tea, and a comfy blanket to curl up in afterwards :)
