I was just re-reading the Forbes Fictional 15 (http://www.forbes.com/2008/12/18/fictional-15-richest-characters-oped-fictional1508_cx_mn_de_1218fict15_land.html) list of the 15 most wealthy fictional characters and wondered.. who are the wealthiest characters on 'Fans? Who makes the big money? Who is our resident Tony Stark / Bruce Wayne? Who lights their death-sticks with burning credits? :p

Independent or faction wise? Faction wise it would be tough since anyone with a decent rank would have access to swaths of mula.

That being said the Empress Miranda would be ze richest. Faction wise.

Indepedent, Sasseeri would have oodles of cash from having multiple casinos and other outside 'sources' of income. (Even if most of it was being split for a while:rolleyes)

I'm not sure that anyone in the Alliance has a lot of money. Maybe someone who has a front business or splits there time between helping the Alliance and doing something else, but I know for instance that Grace and Dasquian had/have diddley-squat in the way of credits.

Miranda I can see being rich, especially now that she is married to Gallus. Just look at the write-up for TaggeCo on wookiepedia: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Tagge_Company I bet they rake in a disgusting amount of money.

In the Mutants roleplay, I guess it would be Ethan Daniels who has the most money. At least, it seems that way.. he owns some kind of pharmacueticals company, right?

I laughed when I saw this under the TaggeCo companies "Biscuit Baron" Apparently a restaurant of some kind but check this out,

Bantha Breakfast Biscuit

Main articles: Bantha Breakfast Biscuit (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bantha_Breakfast_Biscuit) and Giant Amorphous Bantha Breakfast Biscuit (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Giant_Amorphous_Bantha_Breakfast_Biscuit)
In addition to its remarkable longevity, the Bantha Breakfast Biscuit was also notable for an incident on Gastrula. Certain preservatives in the Biscuit reacted with the stale air of a starship and the Gastrulan atmosphere, causing it to experience a metamorphosis that, when complete, resulted in the former foodstuff becoming the semi-sentient creature known as the Giant Amorphous Bantha Breakfast Biscuit. This creature was shown capable of eating entire planets (as it had Gastrula), as well as the hull plating and other systems of a cargo barge. The giant being, however, was able to be defeated by copious amounts of blue sauce, the application of which resulted in the being's demise.

In star wars...biscuit eats you! AND YOUR PLANET!

In X-Men, it would probably be Klaus since he runs a whole Jericho Center. The Cullen's institute is big.
