Favorite IC Couples of SW-Fans

Who do you rate as the best past and present couples of 'Fans? There have certainly been plenty of them, but which star-crossed lovers stick out in your mind as the most passionate, the most tragic, the most enduring? Who isn't together but should be, and on the other hand who is together but really should be apart? :twak

Dasq and Grace

Sorsha and Miranda unfortunately seem almost doomed but maybe not.

s'Il and Sanis should be together (and according to 'Years From Now' will be).

I always liked Tondry and LD in pre-Reset time.

I also vote Estelle and Milivikal as two who should be together ;)

I liked Tondry and LD too and I'm enjoying reading them together again in the Retro forum. Then again I liked LD and Silus, but for different reasons. They were fun, whereas Lilaena and Tondry were tragic.

Some of the Years From Now couples were interesting too, yup. I do have a soft spot for Dasquian and Grace there, with their daughter. That felt very natural to write :)

Sanis and Navaria
Ogre and Dale
Daquiri and Vega
LD and Tondry



Reset ones:

Grace and Dasq definitely stand out the most, with Miranda/Sorsha and Kazaar/Adelaide being the most tragic. Actually, with recent events, all of them are sad :(

We have a lot of dysfunctional relationships like Dan and s'Il - its a good relationship but its so evil I have trouble 'liking' it. If you know what I mean. Not really a 'love' relationship. So I vote them for 'together but should be apart.'

I definitely like Kazaar/Adelaide; so much tension.

I'm also enjoying the budding relationship between Lianna and Daria.

Grace and Dasq are a gimme, hehe, even though they may protest :p


As for the Sanis and s'Il thing in Years From Now; it might happen, it might not. That particular thread for me personally was very speculative.

There's something tragic about the s'Il / Dan relationship; I think the fact that Tak is caught up in it, and that part of you wants them to stay together for their daughter while another is desperate for s'Il to get free while she still has the chance is quite compelling.

Ilias and Oa is definately interesting; one of those forbidden love scenarios that is completely wrong, but you want to have happen all the same. I think it's perhaps more compelling because of the parallels between Anakin and Padmé - you know how dangerous it is for Ilias, and what could potentially happen.

If Wyl and Tak ever did get together, it'd make for one-screwed up set of inlaws. >_<

Yes, Gav and LW had a child together, he took off and she started to give old Morg the "Come hither" look, prompting Garrett Blade to dress up like a woman, storm the palace, and impersonate LW before the council. Ah, the good old days. :lol

Apparently I was half of a very popular couple to read and never knew it (thanks Liz :love). Although the nature of the LD/Pierce relationship changed a bit, not only due to OOC relationships, but also just the natural course of life n stuff, I think those people who are fans of it will find at least some closure coming soon. :)

My personal favorite pre-reset couple, myself excluded, was Sanis and Navaria. Sanis was just a great character to begin with and I thought Navaria made such an excellent foil for his trouble-stirring ways. I did enjoy Daiq and Vega, but apparently Raz and Salem made an even better duo for mischief that I think one of these days I will have to go back and check out.

Post reset, well, I don't really know that much of what's going on. I will say that Ilias and Oa are GREAT and I can feel in my bones the impending tragedy that must fall on them. I am also a huge, huge, huge fan of the Toxicity threads involving Estelle, Kazaar, and k'Vik and am curious to see how Estelle and Mili might get along (if you know what I mean wink wink nudge nudge).

I always loved those roleplays because it seemed like such a challenge to validate the relationship at all. It was like the slightest thing might happen that would cause it to run aground, and I was juggling the cruelties of reality to keep that from happening.

Like somebody said, Dalee/Nav was a great foil. I like writing Sanis when I have a better half to keep me from doing stupid things, or reminding me they're stupid after the fact.
