I'm sure there has been talk of this recently... but what would people think of establishing an academy with a little more permanence than what was had on Vortex? Presumably it would be located on a Rebel-friendly world, with the intention of working towards rebuilding the lost Order.

Love the idea, darling. We've been running around like chickens with our heads cut off for almost four years. I think it's time.

Dak, or Calamari, is probably the safest bet.

Makes the most sense.

I was wrong, its "Dac" not "Dak" :p

Yes I was thinking Calamari too. I guess that means an academy on a floating city?

That would be awesome! An Academy on a floating city reminds me of Lunar :love

I'm partial to the Hawaka Islands, myself, after a quick read.

Wildwater City sounds cool. :D I suggest a poll in here for the Jedi to vote on :)

Hawaka Islands would probably get my vote, since they sound pretty isolated - whereas Wildwater City attracts tourists, who could be of some threat to security.

Oh, good point. ^_^;

The islands don't float though. :p they stay put. ;)

edit: of course being on a 'friendly' planet means that we'll have more security. And perhaps tourism isn't what it used to be, what with the war and everything. Just a thought.

Fair point. I was just thinking in terms of the islands being uninhabited (from the sounds of things)... better environment for serious business Jedi training.

i agree - they're probably best :)

sniffle .. I was excited for floating cities, alas. However, the Jedi need a secure place.

Alrighty, so how shall we go about reaching this point IC?

Hehehehe, I had a dream last night that everyone flew over here to start serious Jedi training on Kauai. ^_^;

I can see it now...

Nav, Serena, and Daria lying on the beach and "overseeing" their Padawans' training...

"For your next task, you must rub sunscreen on my back... little lower. There, that's good."

:lol All those redheads out in the sun, not a good idea. We'll all look like lobsters!

IC I believe that what we'll need to do is get Serena's ship fixed, and like... fly to Calamari. Ta da!

I think there needs to be some IC decision-making. Like they're just gonna up and go to Dac just because. Yes and Serena's ship being fixed, of course. :rolleyes

I know all about the redheads + sun = lobster, from experience.

IC decision making is easy. We decide, then we RP them deciding.

Its a fairly easy choice for them, imo.

And we're all on Cloud City so it just needs to be played out

haha... I am down with that Padawan training :cool:

I suppose as a way of introducing some... logic to why this is occuring, it could happen after the Alliance gathering on Dac. The Mon Calamari government could offer asylum to the Jedi Order, as part of the Alliance's efforts to rebuild the foundations of the Republic.

Morgan Evanar

That would make sense. Dac is probably the safest place in the Galaxy for Jedi.

Perfecto! I like when things come together nicely in a way that makes sense.

Yes :cool this way it makes more sense than the Jedi just collectively thinking, hey let's go to Dac!
