Need an interested RPer for a new character

Hey all...

You may, or may not be familiar with the Lupine species here at 'Fans. If you are, good! If not, read this: http://www.sw-fans.net/wiki/index.php?title=Lupine

Arya is currently the only Loveloxx lupine around, and she's pretty lonely. I am auditioning for someone to RP a 'friend' for her. His name will be ____ Von Metzger (the RPer I pick can choose the first name) and he'll look like... the attached picture.

Reading the wiki is very important.

And mostly they're non-existent. Except that the Von Metzger house lost the ability to change, like the Van Derveld house did.

But the Van Dervelds completely lost their history and don't remember they used to be Lupines, while I intend for the Von Metzger House to remember their once great glory.

Anyway, I'm wiki-ing them into the wiki.

Yeah, the Van-Dervelds became an Imperial noble house of sorts and basically at some point I think someone in the family decided that they did not want to be associated with their ancestors anymore (can you blame them?) and from that point in time, their Lupine history was steadily strained out of the family consciousness. Once you get to Vega and Grace's parents, the family are just haughty blue-bloods tied to the Imperial Military.

Also you know I totally want to play this guy :uhoh

He won't be mad or crazy, if that's what you're asking. I mean, everyone's a little mad...right? I'm not sure what other attributes you're asking about.

He'll know that the Von Metzger's used to be Lupines (well technically still are?). I don't want to dictate characterization too much though, that'll be mostly up to the person who RPs him, but we can chat about it to make sure their vision meshes with what I might think...?

I wasn't aware that House Von Metzger had special "traits"? ...I mean aside from the whole "the Force drives me craaaazy!" thing which all Loveloxx Lupine suffer from.

Maybe they'd have a bad reaction to it, like the force is a trigger to some sort of psychosis. (I'm thinking like bleach and the miniature killer from CSI)[/two cents]

As far as traits, there's the obvious heightened senses (smell and hearing), the ability to heal exponentially faster than normal, and the inability to touch silver or cortosis.

As far as the silver and cortosis thing goes, it acts like a chemical burn, blistering the skin and causing a hell of an amount of pain. If the affected skin isn't cut away in time it scars.

I thought that it was being suggested that the Houses all had different clan-specific traits, like the Vampires in World of Darkness. Thanks for the clarification :D

Nawp, nothing House-specific since these are all inherent and natural advantages/drawbacks. The only thing that is Bloodline specific is the whole Force issue. As such, the Loveloxx are somewhat wild in nature while keeping a strong hold on proper appearances, and the Losstarot are all about arrogance. Both have a deep-rooted sense of honor and dedication to their species, and are two halves of a chaos/order type of coin.


I admit that they've become somewhat my babies due to all the work I put in their development ^_^;

Wild and yet still have a taste for decorum? That spells fangirl intense characters to me. But he certainly seems interesting enough as a character.

I think he means like... brooding, yet apparently perfect fictional guys who have that attractive bad-boy wild side to them yet somehow managed to walk the line and avoid tearing the heroines throat out (they just nibble on her occasional instead and she loves it).

I don't mean it in a bad way; the best of these kinds of characters are like Dracula, while the worst are like 'Twilight' in general. It's kinda like those characters who have a certain air about them of menace and wildness, but they can control themselves to an extent. Tropes include "deep, flashing eyes"and such...

Or also like Jack Sparrow when he's talking seriously about treasure and freedom and stuff. The sort of character that wouldn't think twice about crushing someone, and yet fangirls go crazy over them.

There's a difference between sexy and awesome and stupid and trite. Sadly, sexy and awesome are often perverted into the latter due to people and lack of originality or projecting their own fantasies in a bad way.
